Jan. 6 committee refers McCarthy, GOP congressmen for House ethics violation

Rep. Kevin McCarthy, Jim Jordan, Andy Biggs and Scott Perry.

The committee stated that Jordan participated in a number of post election strategy meetings with White House officials and Trump's personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, who was a point person in pushing false allegations about the election being stolen. According to the committee, Jordan had conversations with Trump and Giuliani on Jan. 6 and spoke with White House staff in the following days about the "prospect of Presidential pardons for Members of Congress."

The document alleges that Perry, like Jordan, was involved in numerous White House meetings, including discussions on potential social media posts calling on Trump supporters to march on Congress. Perry also reached out about the possibility of a presidential pardon. Additionally, the committee pointed to text messages from Biggs to then-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows in which he proposed encouraging state legislatures to appoint pro-Trump electors and urged the president not to concede before working toward appointing fake electors in the weeks following the election.

Hundred of pages of documents, text messages, phone calls, and email. Along with testimony of many former trump employees. Combine this with what the DOJ has and it just a matter of time, till trump goes down.

And......nothing but blustering by a corrupt committee. DOJ will not do shit. You you like to know why? If they do, Biden will be the next. democrats have a habit of doing stupid things that come back and bite them hard later.

Nice! So, nothing's going to happen to them because it's a GOP majority house. But what this does is set a precedent that people don't need to show up for congressional hearings if they don't want to.

The investigation is over. The info they gathered is being sent to the justice dept. Almost every witness who testified and incriminated trump was a Republican and in the admin. McCarthy, assuming he wins the speakership, will not be revisiting this.
Trump and his corrupt soldiers have shown that congressional requests and subpoenas can be ignored without consequences. That stops the reds in their tracks.,

Who cares? In two weeks, the whole Jan 6 Committee thing will be total history and forgotten. Anything they do at this point is meaningless drivel.

Yep. The MAGAs are planning "Benghazi-type" investigations. It will just be them talking to each-other.

Criminal referrals are "totally irrelevant?"

Okey dokey.

Coming from the bunch of Trump haters on the Jan 6 committee, yep. Shitt alone has been trying to get Trump for 6 years now and has failed spectacularly at it. Cheney and Kissmyassinger both lost their seats in the House over this. The committee is such a blatant show trial of a clusterfuck it isn't funny, only it is.
