House Democrats introduce legislation to bar Trump from office under 14th Amendment

A group of 40 House Democrats, led by Rep. David Cicilline (R.I.), introduced legislation on Thursday to bar former President Trump from holding future federal office under the 14th Amendment.
Section 3 of the amendment states that no one who previously took an oath to support the Constitution and engaged in “insurrection or rebellion” shall “hold any office, civil or military, under the United States.”

The Jan. 6 commission has more than enough evidence, coupled with statements from those who are going to prison for taking trump's direction on Jan 6.

Making the case against trump is pretty simple.

Will Republicans take their last chance to dump trump?

Or do they believe he is doing a fine job of excluding himself by his actions?

I've heard Republicans were right on the verge of ditching Trump about 600 times by now.

Unless I see convincing evidence to the contrary, I would count of Republicans and MAGA message board posters crawling on their hands and knees back to Trump.

They were never ready to dump trump after what we witnessed after Jan. 6.

It won't take that many Republican votes to get rid of him. Given the impending doom of the horrible policy of cowering in a corner to avoid a primary challenge, it would be interesting to see how this plays out.

Odds are they are still cowards, but this is the easiest method to dump him. Only 10 Republicans have to grow some balls.
