I get the impression--my impression-- that the way this is going is similar to the Bernie Madoff scheme, or the much earlier Lincoln Savings and Loan / Charley Keating scandals. There are too many powerful people having taken lots of money from this retarded doughboy that could potentially end up in situations where it is found they were utterly and criminally corrupt in what they were doing. Others know full well it's likely to be incredibly damaging and embarrassing to them politically.

So, they decided to just have this idiot fuckwad arrested, tried, convicted, and sent to some federal prison--possibly into one that has 'witness protection'-- where he disappears for the rest of his miserable life so they don't have to particularly worry about him ratting them out.

It's just most politicians aren't so connected as to just have him offed in some way like the Clintons are so infamously alluded to do... :rolleyes:

ON the books he donated $40 to Democrats and $200,000 to Republicans. We deal in verifiable numbers not fantasy money. He is in trouble because he LIED and stole money. Trusting his word is really really stupid.

Overall, he gave almost all of the $40 million to Democratic politicians or groups, and just over $200,000 to Republicans, according to the disclosures.
