If either of us were found "not guilty" because enough care was not taken in preparation for the trial...there would be no discernable impact on America. If Trump is brought to trial and found "not guilty" for that reason, the right would use it as a cudgel for the next two centuries, Lurch.

It's hardly some fabricated thing. It's in these texts, and was definitely being considered by some on the right.

There is so much denial about 1/6 and the events surrounding it. Many Republicans wanted to overturn the election, and basically install Trump for another term, or possibly indefinitely given how careless they were w/ the Constitution.

I don't like it either, the slowness. But we will appreciate it when the hammer comes down on Trump and his fellow conspirators. We want an ironclad case to present to the jury, and we want convictions, and long sentences.

The top-secret doc thing was pretty cut and dry. Garland could have arrested him for that and continued to investigate his other alleged crimes. Keeping him on the street and allowing him to run is doing so much harm.
