US Prepares to Lower the Ax On Executive Pay at 7 Firms

Worth is subjective. If the government values executive compensation at 1 million a year, and passes a law enforcing that, that's what executive compensation is worth.

you don't know the difference between principles and ideology and now we see you don't know anything about worth...artificially setting a cap on something has nothing to do with worth....period

The reason setting a cap on something works is because it lowers the worth of something.

total nonsense....why then do execs at other companies make more? because that is what they are worth....not some artificial salary cap put in place by the morons in the WH...artificial salary cap = artificial worth...

you fail

There is no such thing as "artificial" worth. Worth is worth.

Incorrect, the government could artificially inflate the price of anything, it doesn't mean they know what the value of anything at all.

Epic Fail:

The government value would be different than the market value. But there is no law of nature that states that the market is the only universal determinant of value. Value is what value is - by threatening force in a way contradictory to the market, you can lower or raise it.

I have also found that by threatening force in a host of other circumstances, I can affect a change a desire. Does this make it right?

the fact obama has to cap their salaries shows that the salaries are in fact worth more....

your analogies and understanding on this matter are abysmal....you're saying that if put a gun to your head and tell you that you will only take a salary of $1 for digging ditches for 4 months, that the $1 is the true worth of your efforts...

stupid

Executives do deserve a salary of $1 for 4 months.

If anytime anyone proposed going into the ditch digging business the result was a gun pointed to their head and being forced to work at 1 dollar an hour, like in free-market Somalia, the value of ditch digging would be very low indeed. Thank God the government distorts the value of sticking a gun to someones head by throwing those people in jail.

Right, by simply having the government take 60% ownership, directing pay and product. That's the way to fix it!

We should make a 5 year plan and stuff.... that will fix everything. And then we should make sure everybody gets the same pay, you know to each according to what they need, not what they greed!

Yeah, that will "fix" it all....

/sarcasm

It's a Great Leap Forward! Happy Days!

They're not productive though. They're overpaid fuckups. let them up and leave. Responsible patriots will take over, instead of these internationalist sellout fuckups.

Who decides this? YOU? Hugo Obama? Or the shareholders? They need to just leave us THE FUCK ALONE! Is it too fucking hard?!
