The second installment of Elon Musk's so-called "Twitter Files" shed light on the company's practices of secretly "blacklisting" certain tweets and users.

"A new #TwitterFiles investigation reveals that teams of Twitter employees build blacklists, prevent disfavored tweets from trending, and actively limit the visibility of entire accounts or even trending topics—all in secret, without informing users," journalist Bari Weiss began her thread on Thursday.

"Twitter once had a mission ‘to give everyone the power to create and share ideas and information instantly, without barriers.’ Along the way, barriers nevertheless were erected," Weiss wrote.

She pointed to Stanford University's Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, a longstanding opponent of COVID groupthink during the pandemic who expressed opposition to lockdowns.

"Twitter secretly placed him on a 'Trends Blacklist,' which prevented his tweets from trending," Weiss reported.

Weiss highlighted that Fox News host Dan Bongino was placed on a "Search Blacklist" and Twitter had Turning Point USA's Charlie Kirk on "Do Not Amplify.".......

So Twitter suppressed (shadow banned) Dr. Jay Bhattacharya. He is one of the most educated and reasonable voices talking about COVID . Pretty early on in the pandemic he said we should protect the elderly and the sick and not lock down the younger people and let them keep the economy going. It will be interesting to find out who told Twitter to suppress his Twitter account. Twitter also suppressed several other conservative accounts like Dan Bongino and Charlie Kirk. Of course Twitter lied and said they did not shadow ban. They also shadow banned "Libs of Tik Tok." and Twitter even admitted Libs of Tik Tok had done nothing wrong.

Unfortunately, that is all gone now.

I've never been on Twitter, and never would join.

But as we see here, all forms of social media seem to attract morons.

There is no such thing as unfettered free speech, and we will soon see why.

The FAR left has ALWAYS been afraid of the TRUTH and sought to suppress it. Always will be. Who else ever beats drums, shakes noise makers, and screams at the top of their lungs trying to block out any speaker who has a different point of view? .Nobody,....because its so child like. Spoiled little children,.....nothing more.

Yep . Medicine has been politicized by the Left. They are Science deniers. I saw a woman with a mask and gloves shopping at Kroger's yesterday. Such morons. During the height of the pandemic my own brother would wear a mask when going through a drive thru. I told him the virus can't pole vault. He is center left.
