Hello Jarod,
If he gave more speeches like this instead of vampires, he might have done better.
He outstaged Trump.
It is refreshing to hear candidates who believe in our government and our election system.
Walker did the right thing by conceding, and he did it graciously.
Trump could learn a few lessons from Walker.
About how our country needs to pull together after an election.
It's not supposed to be campaign season all the time, but too many Republicans just do not get that simple concept.
And that drives people away from politics, causes Americans to shirk their civil duty of staying informed and truly monitoring what our government is doing. And voting. This is a self-government, my fellow Americans. We cannot allow others to do what we should all be doing. This is a do it ourselves government. It asks each citizen to stay as well informed as they can, (not infotainment!) and to vote in every election.
But instead of that we have a very common perception that politics is dirty and an impolite subject to bring up when Americans gather to socialize. (And these would be a lot of the same people who are hooked on infotainment.)
Part of that is because too many people practice dirty politics such as campaigning all the time, never dropping their partisan wall. Their hatred of the other side consumes them. So far down have they swallowed the garbage of political dehumanization of the other side, our fellow Americans.
Concession is an important part of politics. It is an important part of what keeps America going, an important part of Democracy.
Well done, Herschel Walker.
