It is clear the Republicans have very little political power anymore. They got the house only by virtue of Gerrymandering, that is not true power and will not last.
Almost ever piece of their agenda is negative votes for them. Everything they accomplish makes it harder to get elected. R v. W is just one example.
Republicans do better the less they accomplish, the Democrats do better once people see the affect of what they accomplish... for example Obamacare is very popular now days.

Yes, they have the mechanics, but they do not have a solid political base to operate from. If they keep with Trumpism it is clear they will lose power, and they left the old style because it was not working... so where do they go?
Maybe they can find a third way, and its what I have always called the One Step Forward.
Republicans are always trying to hold us back, and as the older generation dies, they are forced to take one step forward, the refuse to do it until they suffer losses.
It has already started, 12 Republican Senators voted to codify Same Sex Marriage.

Earl, I believe that the American Public is sick and tired of investigations, so continuing on this path will only results in political suicide for the GOP.
Yet somehow, you think of yourself as a Christian.
It was a gracious concession speech.
The wiser among the (R)s have realized that citizens want adults in DC. We want compromise. We want the wonks whose salaries we pay to pass legislation that benefits Americans. We want those who tried to destroy the system, both before and after J6, to be held accountable. We want our problems addressed in a bipartisan way, not more of the Cult's obstruction and division.
This means, of course, that Cultists like Earl and his ilk will be left behind. And that's good for America, too.
