Remember that time Ted Cruz blamed his daughters for him fleeing to Mexico amidst the winter storm in Texas?

HPD told Eyewitness News that officers responded to reports of a 14-year-old with self-inflicted stab wounds on the arms in the upscale neighborhood of River Oaks. Police were in the front yard of Cruz's home when ABC13 arrived.

I was always impressed how well adjusted the Kids of the Obamas, Bush's the younger, and the Clinton's turned out.

Back when he was campaigning for GOP presidential nomination, I saw a weird video of Ted trying to mug it up for the video cameras by grabbing his daughter and hugging her, but she squealed in alarm and pushed him away.

His kids must have known he was flagrantly lying about only flying reluctantly to Cancun as a chaperone, with every intention of hopping on a return flight upon landing.

I would lose a lot of respect for my father if I became aware he was a pathological liar.

I consider Cancun Raffy to be a blight on humanity, but his family's affairs are none of our business from my perspective.

Normally I would agree but for a "family values" loudmouth that throws his family under the bus, I think this is news because her suicide attempt is a direct result of his shitty parenting which is informed by his perverted Conservatism.
 
Horribly tragic. Teen suicide is gut wrenching for the family, and often they don't see it coming. My heart goes out to Cruz and his family. This is SO much bigger than politics. I hope he has a good support system, and I hope his daughter will go on to lead a long and productive life. Just awful.
