Globull Warming

The planet has experienced prolonged cataclysmic droughts over the millennia, e.g. Egypt about 2000 years ago and western Asia in the Fourth Century sending the Huns east into the Roman Empire, but these were not worldwide. Are there any we know of that were as widespread as now?

What widespread drought now?? You idiots blame drought on 'global warming'. You idiots blame floods on 'global warming'. You are locked in paradox. You are irrational.

I think they were worldwide climatic phenomena but people weren't as worldwide in those days....or, if they were, they didn't know how to write. Most Native American cultures, like most nomadic cultures, had little to no writing skills to document their history over generations.

There is no such thing as a worldwide drought.
Native Americans have a written language.

Global warming, peak oil, and overpopulation.

What 'global warming'?? It is not possible to measure the temperature of the Earth.
What 'peak oil'?? Oil is a renewable resource.
What 'overpopulation'?? Have you been out in the country lately? You idiots speak of 'remote tribes' and 'overpopulation' in almost the same sentence!

Define The Problem. You cannot use buzzwords to define it.

The Egyptian drought is documented geologically and the evidence is not global. Saw a piece on its discovery last night on NPR. It reminded me of the Fourth Century Asian drought that helped do in the Roman Empire, and that climate event also isn't documented in other parts of the world far as I know. Of course if you're right, world wide climate catastrophes predating the Industrial Revolution would undercut current global warming thinking. All I've seen anywhere on that from deniers are lame temperature graphs that do as much to support climate change as refute it.

It is not possible to measure the temperature of the Earth. Climate cannot change. There is no value associated with climate to 'change'.

Tree rings document the years the tree lived and the years the tree had good and bad growing seasons. Nothing else. Climate has no history. Climate is a subjective description of prevailing weather. Nothing else. Climate has no value associated with it.

The Coral Reef is fine. .

You're not;

Cover in the southern part of the reef has decreased.

The new coral is particularly vulnerable - meaning the progress could be quickly undone by climate change and other threats, officials say.

Each year the Australian Institute of Marine Science (Aims) surveys the reef's health, using aerial surveys and divers slowly towed by boat.

After the fourth mass bleaching in six years was confirmed in March, Aims had grave concerns ahead of this year's study.

"In our 36 years of monitoring the condition of the Great Barrier Reef we have not seen bleaching events so close together," said chief executive Paul Hardisty.
