Firearms now the leading cause of death for children in the US

4,357 deaths of people aged 1-19 years old involving firearm accidents, homicide, or suicide makes it the leading cause of death for children in the United States. An increase of 42% over the past two decades.

I suspect right-wingers across the country would still rather try to intimidate drag queens than try to make that number go down.

Keep an eye on your toddlers splashing in the pool. Drowning is the leading accidental cause of death for kids 1 to 4

Argument from randU fallacy. False authority fallacy. You are just quoting government manufactured numbers again, indirectly.

Treatment of childhood cancer is improving, cars are getting safer, people are getting more violent, liberal prosecutors are letting more people escape serious punishment. Who is surprised that gun deaths is now number one.

You say children, but your statistic includes 18 and 19 year olds, who are adults. Pretty common trick to pad the numbers, especially as most of those in that age range are gang violence deaths.

SOS., Text is insane about car deaths. Any deaths that he thinks are fewer than autos, do not matter. That is crazed. It does not matter that stats show guns kill more kids than cars do. He is going to talk about cars.
Night will simply say any stats he does not like are not correct because he does not accept them. Therefore they are not correct. Then he calls it a fallacy. At least both the one trick ponies are in the same thread.

Sorry dude. Random numbers are not data.

Lumping suicide into that statistic to artificially inflate it is disingenuous at best. A person committing suicide will simply choose an alternate method if a firearm isn't available. When you take suicide out of the numbers, the number falls by more than 50%. And, no, eliminating firearms will not change the suicide rate significantly.
