Woke!

Stupid cunt, so why was it the NYT top best seller then, shit for brains? Do you think they are all racists there?

The most common way a book ends up on the NYT best seller list is when bulk shipments of the book are bought by 3P distributors.

The NYT best seller list isn't a measurement of customer transactions, it's a measurement of overall distribution which means for most NYT best sellers, they are sitting in boxes in warehouses all across the country, going completely unread.

"Woke Racism" is an invention of John McWhorter. He also calls it a religion.

It's a siren song and bell whistle for the MAGA right.

You're a fucking idiot, who likes to pander to the likes of Guano and Madwitch. He's an American linguist with a specialty in Creole languages, social dialects, and Black English. He is currently associate professor of linguistics at Columbia University, where he also teaches American studies and music history.

You, by contrast, are what exactly, can we ask? Apart from being here night after night getting pissed up and spouting PC bollox, what good are you to man or beast? To my mind you're just another Smug White Liberal or Swilly, I'm sorry but I've not time for idiots like you.

The Culture Of The Smug White Liberal

The truth is that Liberalism is about making elites feel better about themselves and their lives without requiring the underlying action of significantly improving the lives of African-Americans.

Yes I know he has impressive credentials. It's clear he's super educated and intelligent.

You but contrast are what exactly, can we ask? Sort from being here night after night getting pissed up and spouting PC bollox what good are you to man or beast?

Again, only he and only he invented the term, "Woke Racism", and called it a religion. That is all on him. Nobody else.

So what? You can see woke racism here all the time. Guano is the exemplar for that illogical behaviour.

The older generation, the sane ones anyway, who were brought up in a fact-based, reason-based society are mystified by the fact-free, anti-reason, emotion-based attacks on straight white persons and Western civilisation, as well they might be. It's classic Alinsky bullshit and people like me refuse to succumb to their tactics.

$100 says you're talking about Guno.

Titchy Literal is a black anti-racist racist, no wonder you suck his bellend.

Man, the crack in Bangkok must be a spectacular smoke, because our ex-pat bigoted Brit in Thailand can't even post a rational response. So it's a bad thing to be a black man in America against racists according to Primo? :palm:

"Titchy Literal"?!?!! Man, get the crack out of the pipe, because that high school taunt was L-A-M-E!

Don't complain that I groan, I always will when you spout such bullshit. Tell me how Woke Racism became a number one best seller with the likes of the NYT, shit for brains?

Overview
NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER

New York Times bestselling author and acclaimed linguist John McWhorter argues that an illiberal neoracism, disguised as antiracism, is hurting Black communities and weakening the American social fabric.

Americans of good will on both the left and the right are secretly asking themselves the same question: how has the conversation on race in America gone so crazy? We’re told to read books and listen to music by people of color but that wearing certain clothes is “appropriation.” We hear that being white automatically gives you privilege and that being Black makes you a victim. We want to speak up but fear we’ll be seen as unwoke, or worse, labeled a racist. According to John McWhorter, the problem is that a well-meaning but pernicious form of antiracism has become, not a progressive ideology, but a religion—and one that’s illogical, unreachable, and unintentionally neoracist.

In Woke Racism, McWhorter reveals the workings of this new religion, from the original sin of “white privilege” and the weaponization of cancel culture to ban heretics, to the evangelical fervor of the “woke mob.” He shows how this religion that claims to “dismantle racist structures” is actually harming his fellow Black Americans by infantilizing Black people, setting Black students up for failure, and passing policies that disproportionately damage Black communities. The new religion might be called “antiracism,” but it features a racial essentialism that’s barely distinguishable from racist arguments of the past.

Fortunately for Black America, and for all of us, it’s not too late to push back against woke racism. McWhorter shares scripts and encouragement with those trying to deprogram friends and family. And most importantly, he offers a roadmap to justice that actually will help, not hurt, Black America.

:corn: So our ex-pat bigoted Brit in Thailand is all a flutter over McWhorter's book sales, accolades and credentials.

That's nice....doesn't change the FACTS that racist little shits support a black man telling them what they want to hear.....a legitimizing of their racist social policies. All they have to do is just ignore things like this:

Now Primo will just dismiss out of hand all content in my links because HE CANNOT LOGICALLY OR FACTUALLY FAULT THEM. All Primo will do is just repeat in various forms his previous response. If he doesn't, he'll just blow smoke. If not, I'll be interested in his response. Let's watch.

Oh yes and the Bible has been number one bestseller for 2000 years. I guess it must be 100% accurate and true!

Howard Stern, Steve Martin....NY Times bestsellers. Scientology BS can claim the same mantle....unless you look closely at their bookstore hustle/scam.

But like all intellectually stunted bigots, Primo has his talking point blinders on, and that's that!

The late Robin Williams once reminded people that the praise of intellect to equated with a wise & just person should be couched in the fact that it took intellect to create, orchestrate and carry out the "Final Solution".

Shelby Steele is yet another black intellectual that boils the piss of race hustlers. He is against affirmative action for very good reasons, which he has called "the greatest force in opposition to black uplift in society today."

In all of his work, social critic Shelby Steele applies the universal teachings of philosophers such as Jean-Paul Sartre and Thomas Jefferson to illuminate the plight of blacks in present-day America. "The mistake everybody makes when they look at race is to look at race," he explains. "You will never get anywhere that way. I try to bring universal insight on the human condition to bear on what is, in a historical sense, a local situation."

"My work has been a little controversial," Steele says from his Monterey home, about two hours down the California coast from Stanford University, where he has been a research fellow at the Hoover Institution since 1994. "Not to me, of course--to others."

His first book, The Content of Our Character: A New Vision of Race in America, argued that self-doubt and fear of racism in the black community hindered advancement as much as racism itself. It earned him a 1990 National Book Critics' Circle Award, and a wave of disapproval from some black leaders. Many are appalled by his firm stand against affirmative action, which he has called "the greatest force in opposition to black uplift in society today."

"There is absolutely no other way under the sun to gain the respect of your fellow man than to become competitive with him," says Steele. Affirmative action, he says, prevents that, keeping the most talented blacks from vying on an even level with their peers.

The son of a black truck driver and a white social worker who met in the Civil Rights Movement, Steele was raised in a working-class Chicago suburb, where he attended segregated public schools and developed a personal understanding of race relations. "Everything I've ever learned or read, I've put through that filter," he says.

Why don't you get a list of all the black intellectuals, politicians, pundits, journalists, media whores, etc. and post ad nausea their Top 40? That way, the readers will see the common thread of sheet wearing appeasement and just shake their heads. They'll also see you dodge and try to BS past any comparable critical analysis/review. Carry on.

Michael Shellenberger comes to the rescue!!

Wokeism Is A Poster

A little over a year ago, I flew from San Francisco to New York to speak at a book event with John McWhorter. HarperCollins had just published San Fransicko, and Penguin had just published McWhorter’s Woke Racism. In both Apocalypse Never and San Fransicko, I argue that progressive politics has become a religion. In Woke Racism, McWhorter argues the same thing.

Detecting a pattern, I opened up my journal and wrote a set of religious categories across the top, including “Original Sin,” “Guilty Devils,” “Myths,” and along the left-hand side wrote a set of progressive issue concerns: climate change, trans, crime, racism, etc. I started filling in each of the boxes with relative ease.

Upon landing, I transferred my rough notes to a Google Sheet and showed it to my friend Peter Boghossian. Peter immediately grew excited by the project and with the help of a few others, we spent the next few weeks filling out all of the boxes. Lo and behold, we discovered we had created a Woke Religion Taxonomy.

I wrote an article, “Why Wokeism Is a Religion,” to accompany the release of the taxonomy, and it was, until I wrote about the attack on Paul Pelosi, the most popular article on my Substack.

Many complained that they couldn’t read the Taxonomy because the type was too small, and they encouraged us to create a poster out of it. I’m happy to announce that we’ve done just that, and the poster came out looking great. We printed it on thick, high-quality paper that will last 100 years or longer.

Please consider buying one for yourself and giving away a few copies. It will make a great holiday gift for someone you love. If you like, I’ll sign it and dedicate it, too. Shoot me an email if you’d like me to write something specific. Othewise I’ll sign it over to you and use the email that you use through the Substack payment service, Stripe.

The Trumppers love camouflaged racism. They are too weak and afraid of admitting their racism so they use dog whistles. Its a very interesting phenomenon.

There are also plenty of Trumppers who are openly piles of racist shit.
