A wise move, since FL would revert to a disease-filled swamp of trailer parks and silver-hairs w/o Disney bringing in the cash and young ppl. lol

It was obvious. Disney is Florida's largest employer and has serious negotiating power. The Gov. just need a way to save face, and time provided that.
It was going to cost the tax payers of Orange County huge money.
That is as far from the truth about my home state as you can get.
And honestly, when you extremist progressive types find it necessary to talk that kind of trash about an entire state just because you dislike its Governor, you put down everyone else in it, including the nearly 50% of them who hold the same views as you do, and you put yourselves on the same level as the nasty right-wingers and Trumpers who talk exactly the same way about NY and California.
Why not try to be better than that?![]()
Nope.
Publix has them beat.

Personally I think Disney's special status should be removed... BUT, I hated the idea that it was being removed as punishment for taking a stance on a political issue against the governor.
Now the Republican legislature and governor have chosen to keep Disney's special status.

Your chart does not say what you think it says.

Who provides more tax revenue for the state, Disney or Publix?
Speaking of Publix , they are here in NC since a couple of years ago and carry lots of NY and kosher food
What's that got to do with who the largest employer is?
Because your statement that Disney was the largest employer in Florida was the only thing I took issue with.
And for the record, I am not defending or supporting Ron DeShithead in his little bullyboy tough guy, macho bullshit, dick wagging contest with Disney or anyone else.

The numbers quoted earlier for Florida employment for Publix and Disney were totally wrong.
I told you I edited the post.
They are nice, clean stores with very courteous, friendly employees, but their prices are a bit on the high side.
Call it what you want, your employment numbers were totally wrong, nothing even close to what you said. Is that what you call editing, posting BS?
