The difference between A Conservative And a Liberal

If a conservative doesn't like guns, he doesn`t buy one. If a
Liberal doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.

If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn`t eat meat. If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.

If a conservative sees a foreign threat, he thinks about how to defeat
his enemy. A liberal wonders how to surrender gracefully and still look
good.

If a conservative is homosexual, he quietly leads his life. If a liberal is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.

If a black man or Hispanic are conservative, they see themselves as
independently successful. Their liberal counterparts see themselves as victims in need of government protection.

If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his
situation. A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.

If a conservative doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels.
Liberals demand that those they don't like be shut down.

If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church. A liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced. (Unless it's a foreign religion, of course!)

If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for
it, or may choose a job that provides it. A liberal demands that the rest of us pay for his.

If a conservative slips and falls in a store, he gets up, laughs and is
embarrassed. If a liberal slips and falls, he grabs his neck, moans like he's in labor and then sues.

If a conservative reads this, he'll forward it so his friends can have a

To some degree, I'd say all are pretty much on the mark, ...that is, they demonstrate a point about the differences between the Libs and Cons...
a little hyperbole, no doubt...thats what makes it mildly funny.....

yeah.....its isn't true......
 
I think it overreaches....for instance, not every liberal who slips and falls will sue....some of them will simply sit and bitch that the government doesn't have a program that provides them with a free lawyer, while others would demand a government program that simply hands them the money they would have gotten if they HAD sued..........of course, in the most extreme cases of liberalism, there will be some that complain it isn't fair that people have to be forced to actually slip and fall to collect from such a program and that therefore it must be expanded so as to not make those who do slip and fall feel they have been singled out as being needy.......instead we will modify the program to cover everyone who has ever stood upon a sidewalk.......care must be given however that we not closely examine one's history of sidewalk walking, especially troublesome is the case of those who have been prohibited from being on sidewalks.....if we don't permit illegal sidewalk walkers from collecting what everyone else is receiving it might be discriminatory...........

The OP is obviously more true than not, since liberals won't take personal responsibility and want the government to control everything.

The difference between A Liberal and a Conservative:

If a Liberal sees thousands of kids killed by the illresponsable use of guns, (s)he fights to enact common sense gun control. If a Conservative sees thousnads of kids killed a day, he fights to keep all forms of weapons legal.

If a liberal is against abortion, (s)he doesn`t have one. If a Conservative is against abortion, (s)he wants all abortion/contraception banned in all circumstances.

If a America is attacked (s)he wants to go after the threat is a logical and intelegent way, a conservative lashes out in an emotional and illresponsable way against anyone he can trick the public into believing is an enemy.

If a conservative is homosexual, (s)he hide in the colset until it comes out against innocent children. If a liberal is homosexual, he is open and happy with his life.

If LIberal sees a system stacked against a minority (s)he knows that America will be better off in the future if that situation is corrected, if a conservative sees a system stacked against a minority (s)he wonders how to exploit it for financial gain.

If a liberal is wealthy, (s)he looks to pay h(is)(er) fair share because (s)he knows its best for America in the long run. If A conservative is wealthy he refuses to pay his fair share and votes for whats best for h(im)(er).

If a Liberal has religous belifes (s)he lives accordingly, if a conservative has religous belifes he lives how he wants and plans to be forgiven later, expeting others to live up to those belifes regardless. A Conservative also tries to get the government to push those belifes onto those who do not share them, claming that America the free is a Christian nation!

If a liberal sees a broken health care system that pays for substandard care for the poor out of the pockets of the middle class (s)he works to change that to a more efficent system by convencing the people in a logical and intelegent way. If a conservative fears change (s)he makes up lies to scare the people into submission and fights to keep the current broken system.

If a liberal slips and falls in a store, (s)he gets health care and fights for the money that an insurance company agreed to pay and collected premiums for. If a Conservativel slips and falls, (s)he grabs h(is)(er) neck, moans like (s)he's in labor and then sues but believes his her situation is different than those nasty liberals.

If a conservative reads this he will be upset because its as silly and biased as some of the bullshit propaganda they put out, if a Liberal reads it (s)he will agree its silly and inaccurate but be happy to see the Conservatives being beat at there own game!
 
OK, I have to point out the liberalism immediately apparent to me in Jarod's post. I see it in my textbooks nowadays too. Instead of using the generic "he" in all of the stuff above whoever wrote that uses the (s)he or the h(is)(er). I hate that that has changed since the old days when I was in school.

Why do you care that I am giving women equal standing in our language, I am not saying you have to do it! Just like a Conservative trying to control how I use the English language!
