Marijuana for pain?

I suspect there may be more than a few people here who get "medical" marijuana, one in particular I would bet is a slip and fall artist but apparently marijuana is no more effective than a placebo for pain. It's very effective at getting you high though.

It is very effective for short term pain relief, but unfortunately, for long term, chronic pain other therapies are needed.

having studied how opioid pain relief works with the receptors in the brain, It's easy to see how marijuana does the same thing........but whether it's pills or weed, it's all short term pain relief.
