Oil execs rip Biden admin's 'completely inaccurate,' 'flat-out lie' about US energy production
After the White House claimed that U.S. oil producers have "plenty of opportunities" to drill domestically, some executives are slamming the administration’s "completely inaccurate," "flat-out lie."

"We've basically tracked about 125 specific actions that this administration and the Democratic Congress have done to slow down or stop oil production in America," American Energy Alliance President Tom Pyle said on "Varney & Co." Tuesday. "He has an 'America last' energy policy."

When asked by Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy why President Biden "would rather let U.S. companies drill for oil in Venezuela than here in the U.S." Monday, NSC Strategic Communication Coordinator John Kirby defended easing oil sanctions against Venezuela, saying that there are plenty of untapped opportunities for companies to drill in the United States.

On Saturday, the Treasury Department announced its decision to allow California-based Chevron to resume "limited" energy production in Venezuela after years of sanctions that have dramatically curtailed oil and gas profits that have flowed to Maduro’s government.

Kirby told Doocy that his framing of the question was "not an accurate take on the president’s view," to which Doocy retorted that the president himself, earlier this month, said, "there is no more drilling."

America's energy policy is being run by morons or America haters or both. It makes no sense to go to Venezuela when Canada could be shipping 1 million more barrels a day to the US. Why send money to a country that hates us.

Idiot!

Hmm, a shill for the oil companies interviewed by Fox Noise flunkies. Nope, no bias there....no hype or exaggeration or slant. Nothing to see here....move along.

Exactly. These same pieces of shit were blaming soaring oil costs on 'supply/demand'. Bullshit. They report earnings every quarter. Same for dividends.

It's so cute when the kids get an email, and rush here with the 'scoop'.

These remaining sites Biden left open might not be productive. It costs money to drill and come up empty handed.

Biden and his morons would rather send money to Venezuela and Iran rather than our friends or Texas , Wyoming or Oklahoma. .

I wonder what the response from our resident MAGA wonks would be in explaining how the big oil companies have made record profits for their last quarter after all this whining and had wringing?

Another liberal cocksuck chimes in with the same bullshit for decades now

I truly fail to understand why Biden and his cohorts are doing this, it's truly baffling

Amid President Biden and his administration’s war on cheap and reliable American energy, the inexplicable decision to make a deal with Venezuela to allow oil to be drilled there and sent to the United States — despite the fact that Biden has been working to block oil drilling in the United States.

The move, in addition to making no sense, is also — by Biden’s standards — needlessly bad for the environment.

We have oil in the United States that would not require international transport to reach the American market, but Biden won’t allow pipelines or drilling to do so.
Instead, he’s allowing drilling in Venezuela that will require transport across more than 2,000 miles to reach the United States with increased risk to wildlife and water quality along the route than if the oil was drilled, refined, and transported within the United States.

Joining Fox News on Wednesday morning to sound off on Biden’s confounding energy policy, Republican Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana put things in terms only he can.

“I used to have a beagle named Roger, and Roger was a rascal,” Kennedy noted. “About every two weeks, Roger would run off — he’d always come back — but about half the time he’d come back dragging roadkill that he would hide under my back porch,” he explained. “President Biden’s energy policy looks like something Roger used to keep under my back porch.”

These remaining sites Biden left open might not be productive. It costs money to drill and come up empty handed.

Biden didn't "leave any sites open".

The sites available to them, of which there are hundreds, have open leases on them and the oil companies are free to start drilling at their leisure.

What more do they want?

It doesn't cost all that much money to test drill and they have geologists with sophisticated ground penetrating sonar to give them a good idea of which sites are promising.

The reason they aren't drilling is because they don't want to increase supply and drive the price down.

You rwnj's are just stooges.

A reality check from earlier this year:

Fact-checking Biden’s claim that there are 9,000 unused oil drilling permits

"In the United States, 90% of onshore oil production takes place on land that isn’t owned by the federal government. And of the remaining 10% that occurs on federal land, the oil and gas industry has millions of acres leased," Biden said. "They have 9,000 permits to drill now. They could be drilling right now, yesterday, last week, last year. They have 9,000 to drill onshore that are already approved."

Biden said that the companies are not using these permits to drill. "These are the facts. We should be honest about the facts."

“Oil Execs” turns out to be one Thomas Pyle, former employee of the Koch brothers, who now heads the mentioned “American Energy Alliance” which is funded by the Kochs, and he offers his opinion on a Fox talking heads show
