Trump’s top secret documents?

A lie and you know it’s a lie.

"At a minimum, Secretary Clinton should have surrendered all emails dealing with Department business before leaving government service and, because she did not ...

So, your defense is, she didn’t ignore the subpoena...but if she did...

Too funny, ambulance chaser.

That is not what the subpoena was, asking for, if they want it all emails, they should’ve asked for all emails.

Why did Donald Trump have top secret documents hoarded at Mar-a-Lago?

Was it just a dumb mistake? I guess that’s possible, in the confusion of moving out of the White House after pretending he wasn’t going for months it is conceivable that he just packed it all into one box. He’s well known for not listening to advisers, and he could’ve just said take it all to Mar-A-Lago, but that doesn’t answer the question about why he refused to return them when asked, and then later, when they were subpoenaed.

I guess it’s possible that he could have truly believed those documents were his, but I don’t think Donald Trump is that dumb. He had to know, that those documents were owned by the United States of America. And anyway, what would have been the purpose?

This leads me to my last theory, which is that he saw them as a valuable commodity, leverage he could use against the government to prevent them from ever charging him with a crime, a threat to expose our secrets…. Sinister for sure, but it also means there are other crimes, that he was afraid he would get charged with it.

Any other ideas?

trump knows that information is power. He has zero loyalty to anyone but himself. He's transactional, he saw value in those documents. He can sell the info in the documents or use it against his own country and against his political enemies. Being an amoral sociopath, twump never cares who he hurts. That's why he has zero regrets for attacking and weakening his own country.

Good question, what was his reason for keeping, and working to keep, the documents?

If it were anyone else, I’d say it was a mistake or oversight, but given it is Trump, who was willing to ignore the will of the people just to maintain power, I’d bet his motivation was purely for personal gain, either selling them or employing them as collateral

The National Archives and the DOJ were both screaming at trump for those documents for almost two years before they had to give up and raid his dump for them. He also got one of his lawyers to lie and claim all had been returned. I could not have been an oversight.

One small problem there Earl. Courts require facts before they will convict anyone. Prosecutors require facts before they will charge anyone. Your bullshit about Hillary has been proven false by the FBI.

No, Pobre, Comey said there were classified documents, many of them, on her server and she refused a subpoena to give them to Congress.

She “bleached” them after the subpoena. Obstruction of justice,

The problem is that Trump was served with a subpoena that required to turn over all documents that contained classification marks. That would include any documents he "declassified" but still contained the classification marks. His failure to comply with the subpoena would point to he committed the crime of obstruction. Then when there appears to be testimony from someone working at Mar-a-Lago where Trump directed that the documents be moved so they wouldn't be found and turned over as the subpoena required. Even as a former President, Trump is not exempt from complying with lawful subpoenas or lawful warrants.
His lawyer reviewed the documents and signed off that he complied with the subpoena. This is a matter for the court to decide if the subpoena was complied with and if the documents that the FBI took really were illegally seized by the DOJ. I suspect much of what was taken by the FBI was illegally taken just like his passports were illegally taken.

Spend ten bucks on an English Grammar book. You are semi-illiterate.

Congress subpoenaed all emails on her private server and she did not comply.

She “bleached” them.

Why wont he let his lawyers make that claim in court? What evidence do you have that documents labeled "Information on President of France" has anything to do with Crossfire Hurricane? Did you make that up or read it on some silly sight where you go to learn what to say about Trump?

It's amazing the acrobatics MAGAs have to do to cover for twump's crimes. I just got tired of ExcessPain's constant lying. I realized not even he believes what he says. After twump lost reelection and the coup failed, ExcessStained went from a reasonable person with a sense of humor to a total troll. I watched it happen and it really saddens me.

The subpoena wanted her hard drive information and phones but Hillary used Bleach Bits and hammered the phones like Paul Pelosi's head.

She did not ignore the subpoena. However, even if Hillary got away with something it does not mean others should. O.J. Got away with murder, is that a defense for everyone who kills his exwife?

Hillary's "crime" was using her personal email account to conduct government business. Nothing was stolen. The data was wiped. It was stupid. It was poor judgment. But it was deemed "not a crime" by the DOJ.

Sorry your fantasy is untrue.

His passports were not illegally taken. As a courtesy the Government returned them, but the subpoena allowed them to take anything among the documents they were after. The passports were in a drawer with some of the documents.

Gearl sure hates it when someone proves he's full of shit.

Wrong, his passport was not part of the subpoena.

Untrue, they did not subpoena all documents.
