Elsewhere on this page (or formerly on this page) is a thread under the same title which bans the undersigned among others from participating, apparently to prevent accuracy.
The thread cites a Supreme Court ruling dismissing a request to review a Texas court decision that upheld a redistricting map the appellants claimed discriminated against black voters. The link says this about the decision, suggesting the SC's endorsement of its reasoning:
"A panel of three judges on a district court ruled that although the new state Senate map may “disproportionately affect minority voters” in Tarrant County, and although the legislature may have given “pretextual reasons” for its redistricting decisions, the challengers could point to no evidence indicating that the legislature’s “true intent was racial.”
In fact, the SC ruled only that the appeal was not timely filed, dismissing it for that reason and that reason alone. Agreed, however, the decision is "bad news" for Democrats and good news for Republicans as court decisions favoring white voters always are.
