I had a college friend that came from Iran shortly after the fall of the Shaw. His dad was a 2 star general in Iran under the Shaw. His hat was literally shot off his head. He was picked up off the street for 3 months. His family didn't know what happened to him during that time. He was finally released. The new regime executed every 3 star general and above and about half of the 2 star generals. His father survived because some of the University students knew him and spoke out for him. Iran was executing people right and left during that time.
