This midterm is another amazing testimony where American voters chose Lies, demagoguery and fear mongering over their economic interests. No other midterm in history, to my knowledge or memory, has gone for the incumbent party when inflation and gas prices are at record highs. I honestly believed that Biden, who is far less popular than any President in history, would lose by a larger margin than Obama, someone much more liked and respected. I was wrong. The polls were wrong.
All Americans have lost. No one is a winner when one party can spend billions, spread fear mongering lies, demagogue their political opponents and promote an immoral economy killing agenda. Dems spent a record 1.16 billion to the Repubs 931 million.
What were the reasons there was no massive red wave? It had NOTHING to do with Trump. Abortion appears to have been the primary reason for Republican losses along with the successful lie filled fear monger campaign waged by Biden and the Dems about losing one's democracy. An absurd, amazingly moronic claim which seemed to motivate the dumbest voters on the planet, the dem constituency.
The polls got everything wrong once again by under polling the abortion issue. But if abortion on demand is what gets pols elected, I don't want any part of it. The American sheeple have spoken. They prefer morons in charge rather than competency. They prefer economic malaise rather than prosperity. They prefer being overwhelmed by illegals rather than border security. They prefer letting criminals go and making our streets less safe rather than keeping them off the streets.
One consolation for the Republican Party which is now in a quandary about the 2024 nomination process was that Ohio and Florida remain solidly red, with Florida becoming the reddest state in the Union. A state where liberty and free speech reign and where wokeism comes to die.
The other consolation is that had Republicans won big, they would have been unable to achieve any of their legislative goals with the dipshit in the White House and would be blamed for the continuing malaise we will see into 2024. It will be much harder for the liars in the media to claim that Republicans are the reason things are not getting better. But don't think they won't try their hardest. You see, leftist Democrats only care about one thing: political power at ALL costs. They don't care about Republicans, Independents or even their own low IQ constituents.
So, enjoy the malaise, the high costs of everything and the possibility of war with China or Russia. I will entertain zero complaining from the left who, even when losing, think they are winning.
