Hard to say. Usually those interested in a political career start out locally. It seems though like the Cult prefers to find politically-inexperienced-but-malleable wonks and convince them to seek a high-ranked political position. That whole nonsense about "Trump is great because he's a businessman, not a career politician" thing might have worked for him but it doesn't seem to be flying any more among non-Toadstool voters. It didn't work with Tudor Dixon up here in MI, for sure.

Here in Boston, the public-school teachers not only tolerated profanity but were not uncomfortable routinely using it themselves.
St. Francis of Assisi would have had a problem not swearing at some of us.

No, they did not. There are very few exceptions. The problem with defund is it is a terrible slogan for what makes sense. They want to have professional psychologists and social workers to defuse police confrontations. Police treat everything with power and violence. Communities that have tried it are quite pleased. Fewer police shootings and subsequent court cases are good results.
