Ranking of Presidents

Lets see how badly Biden does until his exit. The way thing are going, he'll win.

Absent any economic meltdown or criminal misconduct, Biden should easily be on track to be a top 20 president. He arguably had the most successful legislative agenda of a first term president in half a century.

Trump is only President to use violence to overthrow the government.

Let me get this straight, trumop used violence to overthrow a government that he currently isn't in control of???? You don't even understand how retarded you sound right now do you?

I know hoe to assign an ordinal ranking to baseball hitters.

Just use the sum of career on-base percentage and career slugging average.

Do we have a similarly simple formula for presidents?

Me too. Pete Rose.

Slugging percentages and on-base percentages are about the same, aren't they? You get a hit, you're on base, right?

No.

On Jan. 6, when he was President. You truly stupid.

So to clarify, you're saying, he used violence to overthrow the govt for 14 days and then relinquished control of the govt on the day he would have had he not used violence to overthrown the govt? I'm the stupid one?????? If so then you're a retarded pinhead. You make Brandon look smart.

Shut the fuck up you stupid moron.

Ranking of US Presidents. Includes Trump and Biden.

Trump is 43 out of 45.

I think a neutral observer would and could easily disagree with many of their selections.

For example in the category "Foreign policy accomplishments"

FDR is rated first. FDR's foreign policy accomplishments were dragging us into WW 2 and then setting the eventual stage for the Cold War. Washington never did much on the foreign policy front in office, as the US really didn't have a foreign policy in its early days. So, these make little sense as top picks.

Likewise, Buchanan did nothing of note in foreign policy, and while you may claim otherwise, the facts are that Trump negotiated foreign relations openings between most of the Gulf States (Kuwait, Bahrain, UAE, Qatar, etc.) and Israel. Normally this would have been hailed as a major breakthrough in Middle East peace. He also brought US involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan to a near end.

I think in the category "Leadership ability" again, they grossly overrate FDR as a President. For example, at the Yalta conference Stalin bulldozed over FDR getting all sorts of concessions that ultimately would lead to the Cold War. FDR caved on most of Stalin's demands and when he returned to the US saying all the Soviets wanted was what Americans wanted and that Stalin was a "good Christian man."

Churchill, likewise, found FDR naive and something of a sucker to be played on foreign policy. So, it's hard to see how he could be a top pick.

On "Court appointments" FDR again is a top pick even though his picks amounted to court packing that gave him Yes men for his domestic policies. This same charge is leveled at Trump. I can't see Andrew Johnson as the worst either, as he made virtually no appointments whatsoever while in office. It's interesting that one of the few appointments Johnson did make, Samuel Blatchford, eventually ended up on the Supreme Court. Again, the positioning makes no sense.

So, I'd say the whole exercise here is one of a bunch of mostly, or entirely, Left leaning academics in History are simply foisting their mostly political opinions on the subject without much or any deliberation or evidence.
