The ones saying it don't control the party anymore.

People often mistakenly think of a third viable party needing to be in the middle.

That's exactly what we don't need--a party in between the republicans and the Democrats.

We need a viable party to the right of the moderate, old school republicans so that the latter can have their party back.
Modern trumpanzzees need their own party.

We need a viable party to the left of the Democrats so that true progressives like myself can have our voice, and the old, timid, moderate mainstream Democrats
can keep supporting the Joe Bidens like so many cowards.

Four viable parties would mean all presidential elections would go the House, and coalitions would have to formed
as no one party could seat a president by itself. The general public does a shitty job of electing presidents, anyway,
