One of the most sobering statements from President Biden’s speech last week on protecting democracy was one that might well have gone unnoticed by many who heard it or read about it.

In the speech, Biden pointed out, “The remarkable thing about American democracy is this: Just enough of us, on just enough occasions, have chosen not to dismantle democracy but to preserve democracy.”

The sentence is damning. The dismantling of our democracy is just one apathetic electorate, one slate of voter suppression laws or one barrage of misinformation away.

What passes for current 'democracy' is a corrupt system for shuffling millionaires , all of whom exist through manipulation of the well-thumbed capitalist prayer-book for the subjugation and exploitation of the demos. Good riddance to it.
However......................................for all its faults- and they are oppressing- it is essential to preserve it in order to avoid the catastrophe of Trumpism, or any other paranoid banana republican attempting to hide their crimes in plain sight.

So- should Biden retain the top two millionaires clubs up for grabs in the mid-terms you'd better get rid of him before 2024 or there really will be domestic catastrophe.
American 'democracy' can be repaired- but it won't look anything like it appears today.

We've had a corrupt system of millionaires since The Gilded Age but it exists today in the same democratic stew it always has. Trump will be dead in ten years, out of the picture in less.

Like other Trumpers you are not intelligent enough to appreciate what's missing in your comparison. Biden isn't a demigod. Trump is. Trump will have a funeral like Beethoven's but similarity ends there.

The same way it was done in several nations in the 20th Century; the citizens of a nation voted to give up their rights to a RW authoritarian state out of fear of crime and socialists. This should be familiar to all students of history.
