Guns get stolen and sold on the street all the time.

The more guns you have in circulation the higher the probability of guns getting stolen and diverted to illegal and dangerous usage.

But that's what statistics is about and I know most gun enthusiasts were too busy memorizing gun specs to pay attention in math class.

If they are idiots, yes. Let's not forget that guerrilla warfare took on the US military in Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan.

Should the Russians defeat the Ukrainians, is there any doubt the Russians would be fighting an insurgency for as long as the Brits fought the IRA?

On a related note, none of the JPP White Nationalists can tell you the difference between a Freedom Fighter and a Terrorist. Why? Because they're all terrorists. They believe murdering Americans is a means to an end and don't give a shit about "collateral damage".

The Gravy Seals in the USA couldn't last more than a couple hours in their attempts to save the 2020 election from massive horrifying fraud they saw. Let's just say they won't last longer when faced off against the largest military in the world.

And you have already acknowledged that better parenting will eliminate the desire to obtain weapons.

To some extent, but if we push the solution off SOLELY on the parents we won't fix the problem. The problem comes from not just fuckups in our society but the fact that we have more guns per capita than any other developed nation on the planet by a FAR MARGIN. We are bathing in guns. Couple human nature with guns and you get this problem.

Do you honestly think that parenting is somehow "better" in England, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Spain....the list goes on.

No, there are bad parents EVERYWHERE. On America takes pride of place in mass shootings.
