Since I was a child I felt that those who went to war to protect our freedoms and ensure our right to vote were kind of holy ppl. I couldn't wait to be 21 and vote. But then they changed the law, due to the Vietnam War and us kids not old enough to vote being slaughtered there, to allow voting at age 18. I registered as soon as the law went into effect and proudly voted for the first time at age 18. I have voted in every single election since then. I am now 69 years old, so that is over 50 years. THAT is how we honor our founding fathers, our veterans, our Constitution.

It has sickened me to see since then how few Americans exercise this precious right, or even give a shit about what's going on in DC and the world. Stop bitching about ads to get Democrats to vote and just fucking be glad that someone bothers.

True patriots vote.

We got our absentee ballot applications last week but decided since it was so close, plus the pandemic has died away, we'll go in person too.

I have too except for one . The city “forgot” to mail ballots to two heavily republican zip codes. To vote I would’ve had to stand in line for two to three hours at one of two designated polling places. I gave up after the line hadn’t moved after half an hour. I had other things to do that day.
In spite of this we got a good decent mayor anyway. We can thank those that had the patience to wait.

BTW Alaska has had mail-in voting for years. You still live there, right? Why is mail-in voting okay for you all but not for anyone else?

Mail in is more easily manipulated than poll voting by any corrupt government. I realize that’s difficult for you to understand.
 
AK jungle primary is horrendous. Murkowski can get Democratic votes (2nd choice) and win
what the hell were they thinking up there?
