given that I grew up in KC... I have no problem with the Rams sucking for decades to come. The only thing better would be to have Rush take over the Raiders from Davis... that would ensure the Raiders sucking for a few more decades.

seriously, I hope you are correct on this... I just have little faith in it...
 
they won't have a team in Vegas because of gambling.
The league has social norms they don't want to violate.

Very few people, if any, want to play for the Raiders right now. It is an organization in shambles at the moment. Yet I haven't seen anyone turn down a paycheck from Mr. Davis over not playing. Now I get the difference with Limbaugh but at the end of the day if he has a $70 million dollar payroll like every other team (or whatever the salary cap is today) I bet he won't have a problem fielding a team of people who will accept his money.

Now that's not to say he wouldn't have problems getting some players to come play for him. But especially in the NFL where the average career is so short (3 years or so?) I would put money that aside from a few superstars who have leverage most people would report and play even if they didn't want to.

Playing for a bad team is a far cry from playing for an overt racist owner.

I'm sure he could field a team .. but in a leagus where most of the premier payers are black and already highly paid .. he couldn't field a competitive team.

AND, the blowback to the NFL hardly makes such an endeavor worthwhile.

Frankly, I'm not sure the blowhard even wants an NFL team .. knowing he won't get it. AS usual, I suspect he just blowing smoke out of his overweight ass.
