Patty Hurst didn't commit crimes because her family was kidnapped, Mr. Turner. She chose to commit those crimes. The fact she was rich and got off relatively easily makes her as innocent as OJ or Pedo Don.

It really does have the "taste" of someone "pulling a Smollett" on us. The story as given just drives questions apparently with no answers. I suspect they'll "find" a MAGA hat on the lawn tomorrow and it will have DePape's illegal immigrant DNA all over it.

I don’t think she leaves things at her home that are classified or sensitive and could be taken by an intruder breaking into their home. I’m sure she does have work related items in her home, but important or sensitive work most likely travels with her.
This is my point...
I think that she has stuff like that there, and it is secure because there is security forces keeping it such. That some lunatic with clearly disordered thoughts can break in shows that someone was not doing their job. I guarantee that security should be at work there even when she is not home.
