Diesel supply in US at 25 days

You would never think (because who ever imagined that civilization would fall apart during our lifetimes like this) that firewood would be hard to get, but I am hearing reports.

I just had my heating oil tank filled: $5.57/ gallon. A standard household tank is 375 gallons. To fill that costs over $2000. Let's Go Brandon.

Are you sure Heating Oil is the way of the future?

Sounds like it costs more money now than other ways to heat your home or you live in a McMansion!

That's too high for my wallet.

But good luck!

No more than it's been in the past.

Gas is much more expensive, propane and coal are way up too.
Even wood if you don't cut and split it yourself.

Home heating will be much more expensive than it was 2 years ago.

Yeah, thanks. Take it out of my 401K, right?

Sound like a build back better plan?

Diesel supplies in the United States are at their lowest levels since 2008.

:laugh:When are you gonna' stop listening to Fucker.

Fuck NO! We are not gonna' run outta' Diesel oil!

Hilarious!

And it was better under TRUMP!

Was it better? Remember oil prices went negative. That is the worst price balance in the history of oil prices. It is a disruption that will effect us for the rest of our lives. And it rests solely on trump.

The point here is you latch onto one statistic, and think that makes things better. Huge inventories are an issue, not a "better."

We still had cheap diesel. And since you mentioned it. Trump wanted to fill the Strategic Oil Reserve to the brim for $24 a barrel.and YOUR dummycrats blocked it. And now Biden is begging the Saudis oil to fill it for $80 a barrel and the Saudis said no. You guys are morons.

and those pellets get transported to your city on semi trucks and then distributed out to vendors on other semi trucks.

at least until there is no more diesel fuel

Who uses wood pellets in a city? I have never heard of such a thing.

We're not running out of diesel. But unfortunately, prices will go up.

Why are people so opposed to alternatives again?

We're going to see all kinds of shortages in the next few decades. It's time for us to stop pretending we can stick w/ the status quo on how we produce and consume energy.

Pellets are made from sawdust. There will never be a shortage of sawdust.

Wrong. Wood pellets are made from whole trees that are ground into chips then cooked to remove all liquids (VOC). They are then compressed into the pellets.

The process also produces huge volumes of air and water--particularly air--pollution in the form of released Volatile Organic Content (VOC). This is a particularly nasty form of air pollution.

Wood pellets cause more climate pollution than coal when they’re burned. So why does Europe call them ‘carbon neutral’?

Report: Wood pellet mills threaten public health in North Carolina
https://energynews.us/2018/05/22/report-wood-pellet-mills-threaten-public-health-in-north-carolina/

Use of wood pellets has increased astronomically in Europe as Leftist governments there ban use of fossil fuels for heating. Because there aren't enough trees there, and the mass of pollution caused by making wood pellets is so bad, the manufacturers have moved their operations to the US and places like Russia where raw wood is plentiful and pollution controls in rural areas are all but nonexistent.

TCEQ IS FINALLY DOING SOMETHING ABOUT AN EAST TEXAS POLLUTER
https://www.texasobserver.org/pollution-wood-pellet-tceq-east-texas-german/

The bonus for Europe is that it lowers their overall pollution even as it raises that in places like the US from manufacturing--while raising CO2 release with the fiction of being "carbon neutral."

This is all just another one of those smug, non-scientific, bullshit, fantasy lies the radical Greentards on the Left have come up with to justify getting rid of oil (bad) but having to replace it with something (wood) even as their so-called solution is worse than the issue they want banned.

We still had cheap diesel.

We had such cheap oil, that investing in oil production will be second guessed for the rest of our lives. We had negative priced oil. Oil producers had to pay money to get rid of oil. This means no one wants to invest in oil production, and prices will be higher forever.

Not to mention it was economic destruction that caused that cheap diesel. Are you giving trump full credit for that economic destruction. He gets full credit for the last push to get oil negative, but what part of the down low does he get?

Trump wanted to fill the Strategic Oil Reserve to the brim for $24 a barrel.

Oil companies put into the Oil Reserve as a replacement for paying oil extraction fees, so tend to do it when oil prices are low. That is why it was at record highs when trump let oil go negative. It was literally close to the brim. And there were literal points that the oil companies were paying the US Government to take the oil off their hands.

Put another way, the technical capacity of the Oil Reserve is 714 million barrels, but if we were to fill it that high, there would be all sorts of problems. We got it up to 656 million, and started running into problems. While trump was talking about buying more oil to try to make up for his oil pricing mistake, the actual engineers on the ground were trying to get rid of oil.

And now Biden is begging the Saudis oil to fill it

Strategic Oil Reserve oil never comes from foreign producers. No one is even talking to the Saudis about filling it. It just is not happening.

You guys are morons.

Well someone is a moron. Someone allowed oil prices to go negative, and then wanted to overfill the Strategic Oil Reserve trying to buy up the excess oil. They really put the oil industry into a bad place, but the oil industry has rebuilt since that someone was voted out of office.

It's likely that we'll really run out of oil in 50 years or so.

Can you imagine? Our infrastructure is not prepared for that. If we don't start planning & transitioning NOW, we're headed for another dark ages.

No fearmongering there. Civilization will fall apart if we're not prepared.

you should get out more.

I do not live in a city.

But I would not think wood pellets would be a good idea for cities like New York. They are very polluting, and in dense population centers that can be a huge health hazard.

you should get out more.

they still have to be transported from wherever they are manufactured to whoever is buying them.
they cant fly.

Hell, the manufacturing process alone makes oil look like non-polluting Green energy

Nothing like deforesting a continent to keep ourselves warm in the winter now is there?

This is the fucking Greentards in action. This is what happens when you let the radical Left who are anti-science, anti-engineering, math and reality illiterate run things. Fuck them all!

Yea, sure... That's what they said 50 years ago and we keep finding more of it. Oil is a renewable natural resource too. We can also make oil from biomass like algae.

There are numerous vent free wood stoves available.
