From what I read, this was not the home of the Candidate. but that of his parents.
The Bullet came in at the top of the window on the bottom floor on the front of the house in the laundry room that faces the lake.
The Grandparents were watching TV, and the 2 children were upstairs in bed at the time of the shooting.
The home is a lake house in a remote rural area 57 miles NW of Charlotte.
The police, judging by the angle, said the bullet must have come from a densely wooded area adjacent to the house.
It is and was small game hunting season in N Carolina at the time of the shooting.
The home of his parents is not even in the district he is running in.
And the candidate was not there, as he lives somewhere away in the district he is trying to represent.
The two children live with their Grand Parents.
This information comes from a local news channel website.
There is not much information, other than what I posted, that is available anywhere.
But it is still under investigation by the local authorities.
It doesn't even say if the Feds are investigating the incident- or not!
Not sure why anyone would want to harm his parents or his children- I mean that's not going to stop him from winning the election.
You would think, if this was of a political nature, they would just go and shoot the Candidate himself.
Not sure why N. Carolina has Varmint season, but it is hugely popular there, and mostly varmints are nocturnal and hunted during the night when the shot come flying through a window in the house. I never understood what is so macho about shooting Varmints for funsies. It seems cowardly to me. OH WELL!
Just about everyone in the state owns guns- The Candidate himself owns a Gun Manufacturing Business! SEEMS LIKE A CONFLICT OF INTEREST FOR A HOUSE MEMBER- BUT OH WELL!
There are over 364 Gun Manufacturers in N. Carolina!
