America Can Have Democracy or Political Violence. Not Both.

Read the OP again.

Are you saying that we can have democracy and political violence from one side but not the other? That makes little sense but when you look at the author of the OP it is understandable.

We have had it from both sides and we are still here.

Trump and Biden have both used violence to attack the Capitol. Oh, wait, that was just Trump.

America will opt for Democracy on November 8th. The Dems will opt for violence in the street like they did with the BLM riots.

This is not a College Football pep rally dude!

Just sayin'!

Politics is not a Blood sport!

"Boo THEM- YEA US"!

That's all I ever hear out of you anymore!

But you go LITTLE GIRL!

Was the attack on the Capitol the only topic? I thought it was political violence. We have lived with political violence from the right and the left and are still a democracy. Just using the most recent examples is a very limited viewpoint and a terrible way to make broad generalizations.

Only right wingers play the game of both sides do it. Pathetic.

Only blind partisans pretend it only comes from one side. You obviously know nothing about the revolutionary groups of the 1960's and 1970's.

Your topic should have been the evils of the January 6 attack, not the broader issue of whether democracy and political violence can both exist because they have. Even if it only came from one side both democracy and political violence continued to exist. It is difficult to discuss a topic rationally when partisanship determines your view about everything. Try reading.

As I have stated, it wasn't this bad. Nobody attempted a coup and blared hateful rhetoric, lies, propaganda, fake news, election denial, empowered and encouraged violence, State Media, threats of violence on a constant biases and so on.

Certainly you can see this?

Yes, I see it. It is very bad but no less violent. And our democracy continues to exist. So, again, democracy and political violence can both exist and have for many years. The January 6 attack was not worse than the Civil War.

Of course democracy continues to exist. The real threat to democracy is GQP.
