Arizona GOP nominee Kari Lake mocks attack on Paul Pelosi during campaign event

Well, you established the standard the the onus is on others to prove that the claim is wrong - not on those who actually made the claim.

I saw it this morning; she was talking about protecting kids at schools, and said that Pelosi had protection in DC, but "apparently her house doesn't have a lot of protection."

She was making light of the incident - quite obviously, because the audience laughed.

you missed the joke I'm afraid

MAGA voters often claim that Nancy is also responsible for protecting the capital. I find the entire January 6th thing silly, so I don't know if that is true or not, but that is how I took the joke. she keeps screwing up security

Oh, I'd agree on that last question for sure. But I'm troubled by "refreshingly honest." People said that about Trump when he called women fat & ugly. I am someone who believes that we have gone overboard with "woke" and "PC," but I don't see not calling someone fat & ugly as a PC issue. It's just decorum. It's just good manners.

Her comment was bad manners. It's not the mountain some are turning it into. But I wish we had better sensibilities, and it feels like we're losing basic courtesy.
So calling Trump fat or Orange is off limits right?

We're not talking about President Trump we're talking about her comment... and it was nothing but the truth... you have a right to be offended though and I will respect that ...I just don't agree... you've got to agree it was just a really strange situation... that being said , unfortunately this country is losing more than just basic courtesy though and that's one of the things we've got to change.. extreme out of control violence is another... if you're old-fashioned I bet you didn't even lock your door when you were growing up... a lot of things need changed these days they? But no one should have to fear living in their own home and I think that was part of her point... and a very valid and timely concern.. lots and lots of questions remain when it comes to Mr Pelosi's attack ...Why no security? HOW does something like this even happen ? I guess all the questions may be answered eventually.... in the meantime I guess we just hope for his recovery to continue so that very soon they'll be able to enjoy the safety of their home together...and her retirement..
;)
.

We kept our doors unlocked, and we left the keys in our cars in the driveway. A different time, to be sure.

I'm not losing sleep over Lake's comment. It was borderline to me, but people are making too big of a deal about it. I'm more concerned about her election denialism.

To me? It is generally - I don't like that aspect of our discourse. I get that things get heated in discussion on here, but it's a sign of weakness whenever anyone resorts to personal insults (imo). I've used insults on here, but very rarely, and I would even say they were when I didn't have a position of strength in the actual discussion.

I didn't mind when Pelosi called Trump morbidly obese - because he has called so many women "fat" over his career. I don't like that level of discourse, but at least it's tit for tat. Never liked the "orange" stuff. People can keep it to the issues.

If those "institutions" are ones the Left put in place, and the Left wants preserved, then I say GOOD! Tear those useless POS's down!

No. I'm talking about the free press, our electoral system and our intelligence systems. As long as they say what you want, they're ok. Those are traits of a fascist.

Howdy fascist!

Notice how you cant be bothered to provide the quote.

from the OP: "If our lawmakers can have protection, if our politicians can have protection, if our athletes, then certainly the most important people in our lives — our children — should have protection."

I was replying to your post...

Why are you defending a sociopath and promoting this misguided "whataboutism"?

So sad."
What did you mean by "impotent thread"?

He didn't say "impotent thread," dummy. RIF

It either is or it isn't bartender. Which is it.

If our lawmakers have protection, our politicians have protection, our athletes have protection, then Who leaves an 81 year old relative or their children unsupervised or unprotected? The most important people in our lives? Great and important question....

Indeed, TOP.

It’s ironic because Paul should have been in jail for that second DUI he got and only served 3 days for. He shouldn’t have been home in the first place.

The police are saying that the video cam footage won't be released.

If this had been a white on black crime, the footage would have been released...the same day.
