What you want to ignore is that I am a registered Independent.

The reason I have not voted for many Republicans is not because I am a Democrat, but because the Republican Party has been a cesspool for most of my life. I did vote for Reagan...but as I said, I regretted that vote. I would be embarrassed to vote for any Republican at this point...as I think every American should be embarrassed for doing so.

I was a Democrat until sometime in the late 1980s when I had a very public fight with the Democrats on the Town council where I live. I prefer not to be a Democrat...and the number of times I vote for them does not make me one of them...except in the eyes of someone with a closed mind. If I were a Democrat, I would be registered as one...rather than as an Independent.

Conservative Christians used the Bible...and the god Jesus worshiped...as moral justification for owning and selling slaves. Conservative Christians used the Bible...and the teachings of the god Jesus worshiped...as justification for owning slaves in perpetuity...and as justification for selling families out from each other.

Without a doubt it WAS DEMOCRATS who fought a war to keep slavery legal.

The Democratic Party at that time was owned by American conservatives...who were the ones who fought that war to keep slavery. And American conservatives were the ones in the American south who kept Jim Crow alive.

THEY WERE DEMOCRATS AT THAT TIME.

Then LBJ passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964...and the American south abandoned the Democratic Party and ran to the racist Republican Party of today.

Listen you fucking moron: If you have not noticed that the American South has changed from being a rock solid Democratic bastion to a Republican one...and that the change started immediately after the Civil Rights Act of 1954 passed, you really should not be engaging in discussions where a three digit IQ is needed.

How many 3rd party candidates have you voted for? Being registered Independent does not stop you from voting Democrat the VAST majority of the time. So you can fool yourself but you aren't fooling anyone here.
