when he says you can't just condemn the violence but need to condemn the rhetoric that causes the violence

The right's passing condemnation of the attack on Pelosi's husband is similar to them calling for more "prayers and condolences" everytime we experience a mass shooting, it's token and meaningless, and a weak attempt to avoid recognizing the truth

And one doesn't need to be a rocket scientist to see the cause, words have consequences, and violence previously the purview of right wing radical, fringe groups is now mainstream, and often supported in their silence by GOP politicians and Murdoch media.

When you echoing profiles of your political opponents as "evil," "traitors" and "threats" to America it doesn't go unnoticed

I'm not sure if this is serious. It's like pot meet kettle.

Adam Kinzinger Tells The Blunt Truth And Blames Republicans For Pelosi Attack

Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) said what other members of his party won’t and blamed Republicans for the attack on Paul Pelosi.

Rep. Kinzinger tweeted:
This morning’s terrifying attack on Paul Pelosi by a man obsessed with election conspiracies is a dangerous reality encouraged by some members of my own party.

I’m thankful he will be okay.

This must be condemned by every Member of Congress & candidate. Now. @SpeakerPelosi

Can’t say I recall many Democrats portraying opponents as “evil,” “traitors,” and “threats” to America, there may a few, but no one compares to Trump echoing those thoughts repeatedly, words have consequences, especially among the week minded

I’m not sure what to tell you other than attempting to listen with as little confirmation bias as possible. Because if you do you’ll understand my commment.

The real problem. from my perspective, is how naive people are actually swayed by hearing and reading what others say without a healthy dose of skepticism.

It's like stupid kids who don't understand what's not real on TV. Capable ones, no matter how young, understand the concept of fiction
and the concept of presenting simulations of things that should not be actually manifested in real life.
It they don't, either they, the parents who raised them, or most likely both simply don't belong in general society.

So that's perhaps our biggest problem in America today.

The percentage of the population that's debilitatingly stupid is huge--too huge to make a reasonably functioning society possible.

The primary consequence of words is when spoken, air is moved, and people hear them. Otherwise, they do nothing.
When they're blatantly absurd, normally functioning people should immediately recognize that fact.
Too many don't.

In fact, sometimes we incorrectly assume that people are insane when actually, they're just too goddamned stupid to be running loose in society.

We know the problem. The deficient are allowed to procreate, and often do so at a higher rate than the capable because they have
no sense of social responsibility.

Anybody who doesn't immediately recognize how political ads--almost ll of them--are targeted at the hopelessly stupid is genuinely a good candidate for humane euthanasia.
It's inhumane to allow them to exist in such a pitiful condition of extreme stupidity.

lol......I'm sure glad no lib'ruls ever called Trump evil or a threat to America.......that would have been so confusing if that had happened......
