Elon Musk’s Twitter takeover isn’t so bad

Tsuke, I cannot help but notice you were able to setup a blog. It was not difficult was it?

Now think of trump. I do not expect his is technically adept, but he has literally millions of supporters who could easily setup a blog for him for free. Somehow it took him over two years to setup a blog? There is no technical reason that is possible. I suspect his family kept him from posting on the internet, because his posts would show how unhinged he really is.

The Operating expense of twitter is 5.5 billion. The Revenue is around 5 billion.

Online ads revenue has recently cut in half, so make that $2.5 billion.

If nothing else changes they will have an easy time becoming profitable

In the good times, Twitter was not profitable. This is not the good times for online ads, so it is going to be far worse now.

Musk literally paid twice the price for Twitter as the market set. But that was the market before the online ads sales collapse was fully known. It will be worse now.

People are investing in companies that make actual profits now.

Musk is famed for not making a profit, so not good for Musk.

I predict that in 2-3 years Musk can sell twitter at a good profit.

He paid twice as much as it was worth before we knew the extent of the online ads collapse... We still do not know the extent, but he paid at least twice what it is worth. Ad into that the interest rates on his financing will be INSANELY HIGH.

For Musk to make a good profit off Twitter, he would need to multiply the value of Twitter by at least 5 times. If his "everything" app is actually released, and then heavily adopted, then maybe... But that would take five to ten years, not two or three years. And I for one just do not see it.

Walter, snuggle into your PJ's and leave the important stuff to Elon.

He is there for us who believe in sunshine.

"Musk is famed for not making a profit, so not good for Musk."

Um...Walter, how did he obtain a net worth of 212 billion?

Walter, if you have beautiful wife who is kind to you and have children and she sticks with you til death do you part, you are not living a boring life.

You are blessed...so am I.

I spent some time in Russia. I could have been involved with a lot of drug fueled sex with very beautiful women, which would have been exciting, but not healthy. It would not have led to a happy life.

I try to be old school with how I live my life.

Yet more irrelevant blather from you.

Do your part....Dont Be Evil.

You really think that the financing will have insanely high interest rates? What kind of billionaire will get stuck with insanely high interest rates?

Well, no, Walter, Twitter has seen a change of Biblical proportions.

I do not know about "Biblical proportions", but Twitter, Google, and the rest have seen sudden, extreme collapses in ad revenue. Then went from a mildly money losing operation when Musk put in his offer, to an operation in free fall.

Well, Walter, that's commendable.

I spent three (3) years in Europe and did nor succumb to the lures of the Russian and Bulgarian lady spies.

I did see what happened to a Bulgarian spy working for the old KGB. It was not pretty, Walter.

Congrats to both of us.

Musk will get stuck with insanely high interest rates. He assumed when he made the offer that interest rates would be low, with easy to get credit. That assumption turned out to be wrong. Add into that a collapse in the main source of revenue. This is a business nightmare.

Which is why Musk tried desperately to get out of it. No one tries desperately to get out of a good deal. Musk knows he made a mistake.

When he first made the offer, everyone was trying to get in on the deal. Right now, no one wants to finance this dog.

Its already financed you lying MotherFucker.

Who funded Elon Musk for Twitter?
Key Facts. Musk broke the news on a Monday video call with the bankers, according to Bloomberg, citing sources close to the deal. Morgan Stanley, Bank of America and Barclays are the primary financiers, each committing at least $2.5 billion in debt financing for the deal.4 days ago

My response was much better.

Walter, Walter, Walter, weren't you taught at an early age that it is wrong to lie (bear false witness)?

I know that you really love Mr. Musk, Walter.

We are admonished to love our neighbors as ourselves.

The Twitter deal is 100% funded.

Primary financiers...there are secondary financiers too, apparently.

Surely these companies will pay for their lack of Solidarity!

I spent three (3) years in Europe and did nor succumb to the lures of the Russian and Bulgarian lady spies.

It wasn't even spies. Or at least mostly not spies, some probably were spies. It was women stuck in a country where men are drunken jerks who made a penny for every dollar I made. I didn't drink vodka until I passed out, so had (and still have) a decent body.

Not to mention, that I wore my wedding ring on my left hand. In the USA, that is the norm, but in Russia that is what you do if you are divorced. Divorced men are considered established, and highly sought after.

Even beyond that, there were absolutely perfect prostitutes who from my understanding charged almost nothing compared to what they would charge in NYC. As it was explained to me (I am no expert on any of this, just reporting second hand info), a prostitute that would charge $2,000 for an hour, and $10,000 for a night in NYC would charge $100 for an hour, and $250 for a night in Moscow. Every American I knew was making at least $400k, so could hire as many absolutely perfect prostitutes as he wanted.

Needless to say, I saw many Americans doing exciting, but stupid things. But I remembered the advice my zayde gave me, and did not get involved.

Inflation is high, credit is in short supply, and profits are plummeting... I do not want to even think how much it will cost to get that money.

I believe that the underlying reason that Walter is staying up far beyond his normal bedtime is that he is so concerned that the sunshine of truth will now be allowed to shine at Twitter.

You don't get 100% OF THE MEDIA, WALTER.

The distance between what they say and what they do is always the problem which betrays them.

That's quite interesting, Walter.

In Spain, the going price was 300 pesetas (5) dollars American for un "rato" (a while) and 500 pesetas (8 dollars and change) for todo la noche (all night).

Of course I abstained from this debauchery.
