It's interesting to look at the MoveHub list for the supposed most conservative and liberal countries. For the most liberal, they are almost all small countries and almost all white. Most of those countries have like 1% black population and then maybe a sprinkling of those not white or black.

And then the most conservative countries are basically totally minority dominated.

Kind of ironic when viewed from an American perspective.

Rich conservatives don't want to be bored or live in a cultural wasteland.

Naturally creative and interesting people tend to be liberal. That is why San Francisco or Austin Texas have better music, culture, restaurants, and art than Fort Worth Texas or Oklahoma City.

There are different types of liberals, and a small percentage of us are very wealthy. Sadly, for historical reasons there are not a lot of very wealthy Americans of color. Often, but not always, wealthy people chose to live in VERY expensive areas.

I have a good friend from law school, Jamaican American, she is the only person of color I know in my former Father In Law's super swanky neighborhood. She is loved and treated with great respect, she comes from a very wealthy Jamaican family. Brought her money with her. Choses to live in a very wealthy neighborhood.

My neighbors are from Somalia. They are the best, and their son if my son's best friend. They surf every day together.

We like western liberal democracy because it is based on the Enlightenment values of western Europe. That is no crime. I am Eurocentric in a very real political and philosophical sense. Any Asians or Africans who embrace western liberal democratic values are more than welcome to participate in the melting pot. Kudos to India and Bahamas for adopting western liberal democratic values.

I believe that a strong/healthy mix of socialism and capitalism is very difficult to achieve but that it is easier when the demographics are such that there is a large ethnic majority, because people are more likely to support people they see as similar to themselves. However, I believe that when/if a diverse group of people ever reach a similar of agreeing to share for mutual benefit it will be even better than the Scandinavian systems.

Portugal is very open to liberal immigrants and expats who are in tech. I do not know if you are in tech, but you do not seem very liberal. They are not friendly to alt right types.

Portugal's government is socialist. Not the old line Eastern European communist party, but Western European socialism. They do not even call themselves Social Democrats, they are the Socialist Party, or in Portuguese "Partido Socialista."

The world is full of western liberal democracies I could move to, but I like America, even with alt right losers, and think it is something worth fighting for. Outside of Somalia, there are not many places for American conservatives to find governments to their liking. And Somalia does not seem well run.
