I read a thread on this forum in which a number of posters poured scorn on the efforts of Special Prosecutor, John Durham to date.
On a personal note, I think that John Durham is an honest, very diligent man who is totally devoted to the investigation and successful prosecution of criminal activity in the "Spygate" and "Russiagate" (FBI Operation Cross-fire Hurricane) that targeted Donald Trump's campaign for the 2016 election and his subsequent Presidency in an attempt to undermine and ultimately destroy the Trump administration.
Those who take pleasure in mocking Durham for having failed to secure any substantial convictions to date are almost certainly Democrat Low-Life (there is a lot of that on this forum). The point I would like to make is that John Durham is unlikely to have any success in nailing the criminal ass-holes who were involved in "Russiagate" and "Spygate" because his effort to bring them to justice are pitted against that massive leftist network called the "Deep State" as well as the political establishment and the Leftist mainstream media (CNN, MSNBC, etc; despicable creatures like Joy Reid, Rachel Maddow and Jenn Psaki). The "Deep State", the political establishment and the leftist MSM (along with other organisations) are inter-meching entities. . I'll now show you an excellent example of how the (Obama) "Deep State" works to protect its own by using the recent case of a slime-ball Democrat lawyer - a vile, DC Swamp - rat - called Michael Sussman who was indicted by John Durham for lying to the FBI but wrongly acquitted.
JOHN DURHAM VS the (OBAMA) "DEEP STATE" - the CASE of MICHAEL SUSSMANN
Let's take a look at the trial, earlier this years, of Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign lawyer, Michael Sussman. Special Prosecutor, John Durham indicted Sussman for lying to the former FBI General Counsel, James Baker in September, 2016.(NB: Lying to the FBI is a crime in the United States). John Durham claimed that Sussmann had lied to James Baker when he informed him that he was not representing any particular client or company when the two men met at Sussman's request on the 19th September, 2016. THERE WAS NO DOUBT THAT SUSSMAN LIED TO BAKER WHEN HE TOLD HIM HE WAS NOT REPRESENTING ANY PARTICULAR CLIENT/S, CLEAR EVIDENCE OF THE FACT HE HAD LIED EXISTED IN THE FORM OF TEXT MESSAGES SUSSMANN HAD SENT TO BAKER THE EVENING BEFORE THEIR MEETING AND IN JAMES BAKER'S OWN TESTIMONY IN COURT AT SUSSMANN'S TRIAL
Sussmann had informed James Baker the night before their meeting (18th of September, 2016) in a text he sent him, that: "I'm coming on my own - not on behalf of a client or a company"... "(I) want to help the bureau." During his testimony at Sussnmann's trail, James Baker recalled that at his his meeting with Sussmann on the 19th, the later had again told him: "I'm not here on behalf of any particular client" and Baker said he was "100% confident that Sussmann had said this in their meeting." Baker went on to say in his testimony that he believed that Sussmann was coming to see him as a "good citizen who wanted to help the government." The truth is that Sussmann was meeting with Baker on behalf of two clients: (A) Hillary Clinton's 2016 Presidential campaign and (B) a shady character named Rodney Joffe, a technology executive and former FBI informant who was conducting oppo-research (i.e. "digging for dirt") on Trump in coordination with Sussmann and the Clinton campaign.
SO, SUSSMANN DID LIE, AND HE LIED TO CONCEAL THE SOURCES OF THE INFORMATION THAT HE PASSED ON TO JAMES BAKER IN THEIR MEETING OF 19th SEPTEMBER, 2016
The information that Sussmann passed on the FBI's General Counsel, James Baker when they met on 19th of September, 2016 was dubious data (since debunked) in the form of memos and thumb drives said to evidence of of the existence of a secret back channel between the Trump organisation servers and Russian Alpha-Bank servers (the owners of Alpha-Bank were known to be close associates of Vladimir Putin). This information was collected by a computer technology executive named Rodney Joffe. Joe had previously voluntarily advised former President Barack Obama on cybersecurity and been tentatively offered the top cybersecurity job by the Democrats when it looked as though Hillary Clinton would win the 2016 Presidential election. John Durham claims that Joffe and his minions "exploited" web traffic from the Trump White House, Trump Tower and Trump's apartment building, in order to find any "derogatory" information on Trump they possibly could; in particular, Joffe and his associates were focussed on looking for anything they could use to create a Trump-Russia connection "cyber- narrative," which they did in the form of the extremely dodgy information they collected regarding a alleged back - channel connection between Trump's servers and those at the Russia's Alpha-Bank, as mentioned above. The suggestion that the material Joffe collected re the later was in any way legitimate evidence of some kind of nefarious, political collusion between Trump and Russia is laughable and the "incriminating" Joffe thumb drives and memos that Sussmann passed on the FBI General Counsel, James Baker in their meeting on the 19th of September were quickly dismissed as garbage by the Bureau's own cyber-technology specialists. (NB: Despite this, Sussmann tried to dish pretty much the same kind of Trump-Russia collusion "cyber-dirt" to the CIA in 2017).
The Trump-Russia collusion "dirt" that Sussmann gave to James Baker was also leaked to the media with the personal blessing of of Hillary "Rotten" Clinton. This was established in testimony Durham's team extracted from (1) Robby Mooks, Clinton's 2016 campaign manager, and (2) Jake Sullivan, Hillary Clinton's former foreign policy advisor in 2016 and now (believe it or not) the US National Security Advisor. Both Mooks and Sullivan scrabled around like headless chickens trying to publicly promote the Trump-Alpha Bank collusion theory days before the the November, 2016, Presidential election.
Basically, given the revelation John Durham had brought to light before the Sussmann trial, anyone following the story would have thought the Sussmann case was a "slam-dunk" for the prosecution. But Durham still faced two obstacles: (1) the Judge, and (2) The Jury.
JUDGE CHRISTOPHER COOPER - AN OBAMA "DEEP STATE" OPERATIVE
The Federal Judge who presided over Michael Sussmann's trial for lying to the FBI at the US District Court for the District of Colombia was an African American named Christopher Cooper. Judge Cooper had been appointed by anther African-American, namely the former President Barack Obama. Judge Cooper had previously described himself and the accused as "professional acquaintances." Cooper and Susan had overlapped in President Bill Clinton's Department of Justice,
Judge Cooper's wife, Amy Jeffress, who he married in 1999 with current Attorney General Merrick Garfield officiating (imagine that folks, having an ass-hole like Merrick G
officiate at your wedding - your wedding reception dinner might get raided by a squad of armed FBI goons if the caterer put any pork dishes on the menu), she then served in the Obama Justice Department. Subsequently, Jeffress left for private practice, where she has represented, among others, the Trump-loathing tart, former FBI attorney Lisa Page since at least 2018. Lisa Page is a loose woman who was being regularly boned by then-married (now divorced) Peter Strzok in 2016, while he was Chief of the FBI's counterintelligence branch and in Charge of the Bureau's lawless "GET TRUMP" operation code-named, "Cross-Fire Hurricane." Lisa Page also had a suspiciously close relationship with then Deputy Director of the FBI ( some members of the commentariat believe Page was being porked by both McCabe and Strzok at the same time !!) In any case McCabe was/is a lying rat who has repeatedly perjured himself and should be in jail; instead he has a cushy job with the MSM as a political analyst. Both McCabe and Strzok were fired from the FBI for misconduct. Their boss , then FBI Director, Jim Comey - another Obama "Deep State" rat - was fired by President Trump for deceit/ treachery. Lisa Page left Special Counsel, Robert Mueller's team weeks before Strzok was removed from it, following the public revelation of their infamous anti-Trump text. It's worth noting that Robert Mueller who presided over the Trump Russia-Collusion investigation was also criminally corrupt as evidence exists that he personally knew the Trump- Russia collusion story was a total hoax, well before he launch his biased, 2-year long, multi-million dollar investigation.
Getting back to Judge Cooper's wife, Amy Jeffress, she contributed $2,700 to Hillary Clinton's 2016 election campaign and prior to Cooper's appointment as a Federal Judge in DC, he and his wife regularly cut cheques to the DNC and Democratic candidates.
Judge Christopher Cooper made life unusually difficult for John Durham and hid his team of prosecutors in their pursuit of Sussmann in the same way that Judge Emmett Sullivan (a hateful, vindictive, Black "Deep State" bastard if ever their was one !) created an extremely hostile court environment for Trump ally General Mike Flynn after he was rail-roaded by the FBI (and lost everything he owned trying to defend himself), and similar, as well, to the way that Judge Amy Berman Jackson an openly Trump=loathing, Obama-appointed Federal Judge (who has a permanently acidic physiognomy that makes her look as though someone has just shoved a large carrot right up her puckered bung-hole) made life a as difficult as she could for Trumps buddy, Roger Stone. Jackson is simply a totally biased, Democrat bitch.
In the trial of Michael Susan, Judge Cooper...
(1) Restricted the prosecutions access to certain (important) evidence.
(2) Banned Durham from arguing that there was a "joint venture" in deception between Susan and Joffe with Hillary Clinton's campaign.
(3) Banned the introduction at trial of some email between Hillary Clinton's campaign and Fusion GPS, a dirty, oppo-research organisation the Clinton campaign had hired to dig dirt on Trump.
In short Cooper made Durham's team fight their case against Sussmann with one arm tied behind their backs.
THE JURY
Judge Cooper over-ruled Durham's prosecutors when they objected to the seating of several jurors.
Firstly it must be noted that the 12 jurors who would decide the case were drawn from the population of Washington DC where in the 2016 Presidential election 91% of those who voted, voted for Hillary Clinton/Democrat, and only 4% voted for Donald Trump /Republican. This bias was reflected in the pool from which the Sussmann jury were selected. Of those who were allowed to be seated on the Jury: one had donated money to the Clinton campaign; two other Clinton donors were also in the jury pool (one of whom was was clearly a cretin who had also made political donations to the leftist loon, AOC !), another prospective juror said she thinks "the police should be defunded", and still another prospective juror said her husband had worked for Bill Clinton's 2008 Presidential campaign. One seated juror was the mother of a daughter who played on the same high school crew team as Sussmann's daughter.
So, if you are John Durham pursuing the prosecution of Michael Sussmann - HILLARY CLINTON's CAMPAIGN LAWYER - who was engaged in what Democrats and Progressives would likely consider the virtuous work of trying to bring down Donald Trump, and most of your jury are persons with a distinct affinity for Hillary Clinton and/or progressivism - things would likely bode pretty poorly for you. And they did. The jury acquitted Sussmann and I don't think it was a case of them "getting it wrong". Even with the restrictions and bans Judge Cooper placed of Durham's prosecution, it was very clear that Sussmann had lied to the FBI, and it was IMPORTANT that he was found guilty of this. IT MATTERED as it would have greatly assisted Durham in his further pursuit the bigger fish still at large in the "Spygate" and "Russiagate" scandals.
IT MATTERS that those criminals involved in "Russiagate" and "Spygate" are prosecuted and convicted for their crimes, because what Durham is investigating is the greatest political scandal in American history That includes the corrupt, criminal Big-Wigs: like Joe Biden; Barack Obama; Hillary Clinton; Jim Comey; John Brennan; Susan Rice; Jake Sullivan; John Podesta; Marc Elias and so on. But I've shown you how the "Deep State" works to make prosecuting and convicting these Obama, "Deep State" villains EXTREMELY difficult. There is no way that Sussmann should have been acquitted, and under a fair federal justice system he would not have got away with what he did, which was not just "telling a lie", but participating in a planned conspiracy to take down a sitting President.

John Durham claims that Joffe and his minions "exploited" web traffic from the Trump White House, Trump Tower and Trump's apartment building, in order to find any "derogatory" information on Trump they possibly could; in particular, Joffe and his associates were focussed on looking for anything they could use to create a Trump-Russia connection "cyber- narrative," which they did in the form of the extremely dodgy information they collected regarding a alleged back - channel connection between Trump's servers and those at the Russia's Alpha-Bank, as mentioned above. The suggestion that the material Joffe collected re the later was in any way legitimate evidence of some kind of nefarious, political collusion between Trump and Russia is laughable and the "incriminating" Joffe thumb drives and memos that Sussmann passed on the FBI General Counsel, James Baker in their meeting on the 19th of September were quickly dismissed as garbage by the Bureau's own cyber-technology specialists. (NB: Despite this, Sussmann tried to dish pretty much the same kind of Trump-Russia collusion "cyber-dirt" to the CIA in 2017).
The Trump-Russia collusion "dirt" that Sussmann gave to James Baker was also leaked to the media with the personal blessing of of Hillary "Rotten" Clinton. This was established in testimony Durham's team extracted from (1) Robby Mooks, Clinton's 2016 campaign manager, and (2) Jake Sullivan, Hillary Clinton's former foreign policy advisor in 2016 and now (believe it or not) the US National Security Advisor. Both Mooks and Sullivan scrabled around like headless chickens trying to publicly promote the Trump-Alpha Bank collusion theory days before the the November, 2016, Presidential election.
Basically, given the revelation John Durham had brought to light before the Sussmann trial, anyone following the story would have thought the Sussmann case was a "slam-dunk" for the prosecution. But Durham still faced two obstacles: (1) the Judge, and (2) The Jury.
JUDGE CHRISTOPHER COOPER - AN OBAMA "DEEP STATE" OPERATIVE
The Federal Judge who presided over Michael Sussmann's trial for lying to the FBI at the US District Court for the District of Colombia was an African American named Christopher Cooper. Judge Cooper had been appointed by anther African-American, namely the former President Barack Obama. Judge Cooper had previously described himself and the accused as "professional acquaintances." Cooper and Susan had overlapped in President Bill Clinton's Department of Justice,
Judge Cooper's wife, Amy Jeffress, who he married in 1999 with current Attorney General Merrick Garfield officiating (imagine that folks, having an ass-hole like Merrick G
officiate at your wedding - your wedding reception dinner might get raided by a squad of armed FBI goons if the caterer put any pork dishes on the menu), she then served in the Obama Justice Department. Subsequently, Jeffress left for private practice, where she has represented, among others, the Trump-loathing tart, former FBI attorney Lisa Page since at least 2018. Lisa Page is a loose woman who was being regularly boned by then-married (now divorced) Peter Strzok in 2016, while he was Chief of the FBI's counterintelligence branch and in Charge of the Bureau's lawless "GET TRUMP" operation code-named, "Cross-Fire Hurricane." Lisa Page also had a suspiciously close relationship with then Deputy Director of the FBI ( some members of the commentariat believe Page was being porked by both McCabe and Strzok at the same time !!) In any case McCabe was/is a lying rat who has repeatedly perjured himself and should be in jail; instead he has a cushy job with the MSM as a political analyst. Both McCabe and Strzok were fired from the FBI for misconduct. Their boss , then FBI Director, Jim Comey - another Obama "Deep State" rat - was fired by President Trump for deceit/ treachery. Lisa Page left Special Counsel, Robert Mueller's team weeks before Strzok was removed from it, following the public revelation of their infamous anti-Trump text. It's worth noting that Robert Mueller who presided over the Trump Russia-Collusion investigation was also criminally corrupt as evidence exists that he personally knew the Trump- Russia collusion story was a total hoax, well before he launch his biased, 2-year long, multi-million dollar investigation.Getting back to Judge Cooper's wife, Amy Jeffress, she contributed $2,700 to Hillary Clinton's 2016 election campaign and prior to Cooper's appointment as a Federal Judge in DC, he and his wife regularly cut cheques to the DNC and Democratic candidates.
Judge Christopher Cooper made life unusually difficult for John Durham and hid his team of prosecutors in their pursuit of Sussmann in the same way that Judge Emmett Sullivan (a hateful, vindictive, Black "Deep State" bastard if ever their was one !) created an extremely hostile court environment for Trump ally General Mike Flynn after he was rail-roaded by the FBI (and lost everything he owned trying to defend himself), and similar, as well, to the way that Judge Amy Berman Jackson an openly Trump=loathing, Obama-appointed Federal Judge (who has a permanently acidic physiognomy that makes her look as though someone has just shoved a large carrot right up her puckered bung-hole) made life a as difficult as she could for Trumps buddy, Roger Stone. Jackson is simply a totally biased, Democrat bitch.
In the trial of Michael Susan, Judge Cooper...
(1) Restricted the prosecutions access to certain (important) evidence.
(2) Banned Durham from arguing that there was a "joint venture" in deception between Susan and Joffe with Hillary Clinton's campaign.
(3) Banned the introduction at trial of some email between Hillary Clinton's campaign and Fusion GPS, a dirty, oppo-research organisation the Clinton campaign had hired to dig dirt on Trump.
In short Cooper made Durham's team fight their case against Sussmann with one arm tied behind their backs.
THE JURY
Judge Cooper over-ruled Durham's prosecutors when they objected to the seating of several jurors.
Firstly it must be noted that the 12 jurors who would decide the case were drawn from the population of Washington DC where in the 2016 Presidential election 91% of those who voted, voted for Hillary Clinton/Democrat, and only 4% voted for Donald Trump /Republican. This bias was reflected in the pool from which the Sussmann jury were selected. Of those who were allowed to be seated on the Jury: one had donated money to the Clinton campaign; two other Clinton donors were also in the jury pool (one of whom was was clearly a cretin who had also made political donations to the leftist loon, AOC !), another prospective juror said she thinks "the police should be defunded", and still another prospective juror said her husband had worked for Bill Clinton's 2008 Presidential campaign. One seated juror was the mother of a daughter who played on the same high school crew team as Sussmann's daughter.
So, if you are John Durham pursuing the prosecution of Michael Sussmann - HILLARY CLINTON's CAMPAIGN LAWYER - who was engaged in what Democrats and Progressives would likely consider the virtuous work of trying to bring down Donald Trump, and most of your jury are persons with a distinct affinity for Hillary Clinton and/or progressivism - things would likely bode pretty poorly for you. And they did. The jury acquitted Sussmann and I don't think it was a case of them "getting it wrong". Even with the restrictions and bans Judge Cooper placed of Durham's prosecution, it was very clear that Sussmann had lied to the FBI, and it was IMPORTANT that he was found guilty of this. IT MATTERED as it would have greatly assisted Durham in his further pursuit the bigger fish still at large in the "Spygate" and "Russiagate" scandals.
IT MATTERS that those criminals involved in "Russiagate" and "Spygate" are prosecuted and convicted for their crimes, because what Durham is investigating is the greatest political scandal in American history That includes the corrupt, criminal Big-Wigs: like Joe Biden; Barack Obama; Hillary Clinton; Jim Comey; John Brennan; Susan Rice; Jake Sullivan; John Podesta; Marc Elias and so on. But I've shown you how the "Deep State" works to make prosecuting and convicting these Obama, "Deep State" villains EXTREMELY difficult. There is no way that Sussmann should have been acquitted, and under a fair federal justice system he would not have got away with what he did, which was not just "telling a lie", but participating in a planned conspiracy to take down a sitting President.
If anyone has any ideas as to how the political bias and corruption can be rooted out of the US federal justice system, I'd be very interested to hear them.
