”British Prime Minister Liz Truss resigns after disastrous economic plan”

“LONDON — British Prime Minister Liz Truss resigned Thursday after just six weeks in office, following a disastrous and rapidly reversed economic plan that sent the pound plunging and her government into chaos.”

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/...-truss-resign-economic-plan-turmoil-rcna52946

What a good idea, a tax cut in the middle of an inflationary period, guess someone should have told Liz that cutting taxes isn’t always the remedy nor sells as the political talking point as it does in America

Of course being the economic wizard, you're acutely aware that stagflation is in the offing. Should we blame government programs that have poured money into an overheated economy for sapping demand from the labour market?

In other news did you know that BoJo is standing for the post of PM?

Boris Johnson expected to stand for PM in spectacular comeback after Liz Truss quits

The former Prime Minister reportedly believes it is a matter of national interest.

The UK's going to have another election. Truss was only in power for 6 weeks. Do you think Boris will come back?

Hey pal, it wasn’t a conservative leader who crashed after 44 days on the job, duh

Poor anchovies, the brits have given over to mass immigration and lost their country. To quote a serial killer, ‘What Difference At This Point Does It Make?!’

Stagnation? Is Fox now peddling stagnation along with inflation, crime, and immigration? Last time we had serious stagnation was during the Reagan era, another conservative government

And those government programs you are concerned with didn’t begin with this Administration, including a tax cut during an advancing economy

FedEx chairman Fred Smith is saying it, Arsecheese!

The US economy is in the middle of an unusual “stagflation” period and lacks enough workers to meet spiking demand because of the Biden administration’s policies, FedEx founder and chairman Fred Smith said.

Smith delivered his grim view of the economy after stocks tanked on FedEx CEO Raj Subramaniam’s warning of a looming “worldwide recession.” The FedEx chairman blamed government programs that poured money into an overheated economy for sapping demand from the labor market.

Ah, and how exactly is any of that relevance to the conservative leader applying conservative ideology biting the dust? And if really bothers you, it has been a conservative government there calling the shots for the last twelve years, duh

Poor, poor “copy and paste,” tough to exchange when you don’t know what is going on

The Nypost is a tabloid and therefore not at all reliable for accurate news.

First off, Murdoch? Have you ever even read the NYP? It is a tabloid, and sells cause of its sports section

How can we be in stagnation with low unemployment and rising interest rates? Every economy in flux will go thru stages of stagnation, it is natural, when it becomes structural, as it was in the early 1980’s, it becomes a problem, we are not in structural stagnation at the moment, far from it

Does Fred Smith work for the New York Post? Don't you think a parcel delivery company might have their finger on the pulse regarding the economy?
