President Biden spoke for many rational Americans on Saturday when he described recent testimony released by the House Jan. 6 select committee as “devastating.”

Biden noted that he has not spoken with Attorney General Merrick Garland about the Justice Department’s investigation into the coup attempt, taking care not to influence the department’s inquiry. But at this stage, Garland needs no further pushing. After what seemed to be a slow start, his department seems to be moving swiftly on multiple fronts against former president Donald Trump.

I'm thinking you are right, PB.

I want to see the DoJ do the right thing...which includes being very careful when caution is appropriate. Making the moves we all want to see with regard to Trump and his close lackies, requires being VERY, VERY CAREFUL...and I think the job is being done the correct way. I'll be disappointed if I am wrong...but I would rather be disappointed on that end rather than disappointed because someone moved too quickly or carelessly right now.

The question is, why were they there at all on that day? Capitol was closed. Who was the rally for?

The democrats have shamelessly politicized the justice department like we were a third world nation. An investigation and a total cleanup is in order, if the voters do their job. I certainly hope they do.
