Russia struggles in the war with Ukraine are intensifying as troops continue to find themselves pushed back out of key territories.

Vladimir Putin's crumbling Russian army is facing a "decisive rout" and is edging closer to total "collapse", with morale among troops now completely evaporated, according to a leading British Army officer. General Sir Richard Shirreff, who served as Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe for the alliance, also believes Ukrainian forces can succeed in driving back the opposition by the end of this year. Russia unleashed a barrage of missile on several Ukrainian cities on Monday as part of a furious reaction for the bombing of its prized bridge in Crimea.

The death toll has risen to 19 civilians and despite dozens of others being injured in the attacks, Sir Richard is confident Putin's army is heading for disastrous end.

He told The Sun Online: "I think the scene is being set for a decisive rout of the Russian Army in Ukraine. The scene is setting for a collapse of the Russian army.

G7 vows to support Ukraine for as long as it takes

If this is the case, than Ukraine can win this war?!! Remember, Ukraine is doing all the fighting and dying and not G7 members?!! There continuing support is vital to Ukraine's success on the battlefield?!!

LONDON (Reuters) -The Group of Seven (G7) nations committed on Tuesday to support Ukraine for as long as it takes, adding in a statement after a leaders' call that any use by Russia of nuclear weapons would be met with severe consequences.

"We will continue to provide financial, humanitarian, military, diplomatic and legal support and will stand firmly with Ukraine for as long as it takes," the joint statement said.

"We reassured President Zelenskiy that we are undeterred and steadfast in our commitment to providing the support Ukraine needs to uphold its sovereignty and territorial integrity."

The statement condemned recent Russian missile strikes on Ukraine, noting that attacks on civilian populations constituted a war crime: "We will hold President Putin and those responsible to account."

Leaders also criticised Russia's "irresponsible nuclear rhetoric".

"We deplore deliberate Russian escalatory steps, including the partial mobilisation of reservists and irresponsible nuclear rhetoric, which is putting global peace and security at risk. We reaffirm that any use of chemical, biological or nuclear weapons by Russia would be met with severe consequences," the statement said.

Looks like Belarus is joining the fray.

WARSAW — President Aleksandr G. Lukashenko of Belarus announced on Monday that Russian troops would return to his country in large numbers, a replay of the military buildup there that preceded Russia’s February invasion of Ukraine.

“This won’t be just a thousand troops,” Mr. Lukashenko told senior military and security officials in Minsk, the Belarusian capital, after a meeting over the weekend with President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia in St. Petersburg.

In rambling remarks reported by the state news agency Belta, Mr. Lukashenko said that work had already started on the formation of what he called a “joint regional group of troops” to counter “possible aggression against our country” by NATO and Ukraine.

The Belarusian strongman, who has so far resisted pressure from Moscow to send in his own troops, accused Ukraine, which shares a long border with Belarus, of planning attacks from the south, without citing evidence.

Increasingly desperate Putin running out of troops, allies and weapons - GCHQ boss

Russia is running out of weapons, allies and troops as Vladimir Putin is becoming increasingly desperate, the head of GCHQ warned yesterday.

Sir Jeremy Fleming said the tyrant is “running short of friends” as Ukraine is turning the tide against his "exhausted" forces. But Sir Jeremy said GCHQ has not seen signs that the Kremlin is currently considering nuclear weapons in Ukraine. He admitted the intelligence would hope to see "indicators" if Russia planned to use them, he said.

Those fleeing Russian troops have abandoned their weapons for the Ukrainians to use. That's far from building up morale. It would appear that Russian forces have "donated" far more to Ukraine than the 27 vassal states of the so-called EU have.
