October surprise - marijuana decriminalization?

This board is infamous for posters claiming to be free thinking Libertarians, but every election season you find them praying that Republicans will be victorious.

You might be one of the few authentic Libertarians this board has ever had .

no he isnt.

he's a fascist cocksmoker.

Who do you support? Specifically.

I don't GAF about pot, but when you run into a person who has smoked pot all their lives they present as braindead burnouts. It is what it is. Substance abuse of any sort is not my cuppa.

For President? There's no Democrat I can see I'd support and, at the moment, no Republican although I'm curious how it plays out with DeSantis.

The Party of Trump is an anathema to everything I've ever stood for. Same for the Democrats. Anyone who runs on a Trumpian agenda will never get my vote.
I doubt the Democrats will alter their agenda to become favorable. What the Republicans do is up to them but so far they are still supporting an authoritarian, anti-Constitutional agenda.

In November 2022 I'll be voting a straight Libertarian ticket. At the moment, I'm likely to do the same in 2024.

Would you be able to provide any citation for this particular one?

THC can stay in your system for up to 30 days after using marijuana. That's a well-known fact. Depending on what a state sets as the limit for presumption of DUI, that could be enough to get you one.

Overview: How long does it take to get weed out of your system for a drug test?
As a general rule, THC stays in your body for roughly 30 days. For up to 90 days, it will be noticeable in hair

That means such a warning put on packaging for marijuana sales would be reasonable to do.

You're making yourself look both stupid and fanatical, Chief.

Yes, for drug-testing purposes, a chronic pot smoker can test positive for THC up to 30 days later.

Only a fucking moron believes that they are DUI if they drive on day 29 after the last time they used pot.

The main problem with THC is that there is no set standard for determining DUI...not even in Texas. Yes, they can arrest, but due to the inability to convict, those cases are often dropped. https://www.dougmurphylaw.com/driving-while-intoxicated-dwi-marijuana-in-texas

Sheesh! God save me from idiots who live on Mount Stupid.

Legalizing pot is always a winning issue, and Biden just took one major step towards that:

President Joe Biden is taking his first major steps toward decriminalizing marijuana, fulfilling a campaign pledge to erase prior federal possession convictions and beginning the process of loosening federal classification of the drug.

It never made any sense to keep pot illegal, and it makes little sense now since a majority of Americans live in states with either legal medical pot or recreational.

The party that legalizes pot is the party that will have an easy time retaining control of government.

MJ is actual medication for me. I'm actually thinking of going to Colorado or Arizona if I can't buy weed legally here in TX. Decriminalizing it is the right thing to do.

Remember when the US tried to criminalize alcohol? How did that turn out? You cannot legislate morality.

Are blacks going to take the criminalization of menthol cigs obediently?

I am not so sure that they will.

Fuck off you racist troll. Black people are not the only ones who smokes menthol cigs.. my mom used to.. you suck shithead, racist fuck.

Jesus you people get unhinged with your hatred of the Left.

I know.. look how desperate they are to connect Hunter Biden's crimes to dad. They're chomping at the bit.. and this is after fat donny paid of hookers and playmates for their silence, illegally, before the 2016 election. There are certainly two sets of rules for twumptards.. rules for everyone else and none for them. They're nothing but evil, hypocritical fucks.

Yes I am not worth your time, Bigot-Boy. So go scuttling off back to Stormfront.

So.. a little note about Hawkeye10. He doesn't doesn't know what he's talking about. He'll never clarify when you ask him. He watches Tucker.. gets soundbites, and posts them. That's all he does. He really doesn't know what Tucker is saying he just knows it'll piss of minorities.

So you're saying as long as people can get high they won't give a shit that they are paying over $5/gal for gas? How about heroin? I wonder what you could get people to buy into if you legalized that?

No. One thing has nothing to do with the other, Yagina.

Let's see if Congress decides to decriminalize in order to regain some measure of public trust that they all aren't complete fucking douchebags.

Don't count on it. If the GOP wins the house they'll continue to be hypocrites. Like Walker and his anti-abortion stance. I'll bet most Republicans them use weed in their personal lives, as well.

Libertarians are just Republicans who want to smoke pot or have pre-marital sex. They're still racist, authoritarian fucks, most of them.

And you have documented cases where someone's driving was impaired 30 days after doing pot? (I'm genuinely curious. I live in a state where it is legal and frankly no one says anything like this.)

You see, it reads more like "fear literature" from the 1940's about demon lettuce and less like a rational appreciation of the impact of the drug. I would be very interested to read about these cases where driving was impaired 30 days later. Honest.

Obama smokes pot and he's more successful and famous than you or anyone you know will never imagine, loser.

No doubt, but they're more interested in saving their own jobs. They don't give a shit about Duty, Honor, Country, but they most certainly give a shit staying in power. They'll go wherever the wind blows.

Democrats want to save your constitutional republic. Republicans want to destroy it. You can throw your vote away on "libertarians" who have no prayer of influencing any positive change or you can be a patriot and vote Democrat.

It's up to you.
