Watch the news tonight, or little the sing at this had to play nice with Biden, Cuz he wants a government cheese.
 
Gavin Newsom played nice with Trump when California needed federal money for wildfires. Should we frown upon people being able to work together across the isle when necessary?
 
But Republicans love cruelty, it’s popular among Republicans, so DeSantis is trick on legal, immigrant families helped him.

No cuz he doesn’t pretend to hate Biden’s politics. He doesn’t scream “Socialism” every time the fed spends money. He didn’t vote against disaster relief for Hurricane Sandy victims.

Remember when the Trumppers hated Chris Christy when he played nice with Obama after Hurricane Sandy?

I see. So Newsom can scream about how Trump is ruining America etc. etc. etc. but then roll out the red carpet for him because we needed Federal money.

I’m no fan of Newsome, but when did he roll out the red carpet for Trump? He can do it all day long, this is America, so far still a free nation, and I’d be okay w it, it’s the Trumppers who hate what they call, “SOCIALISM”.

During the wildfires and during COVID. He did exactly what you say DeSantis is doing. He played nice with Trump because we needed federal money. Ultimately Governing requires being a grown up at times and working with people you either don’t care for or disagree with. Seems like we should want more of it, not less.

Trump and DeSantis are bullies. Trump has been trash talking on California and threatened to withhold federal aid. See the difference? It was Trump who played nice.

Saw them together on the NBC Nightly News. It made me happy. Of course it was staged but wtf -- this is what the assholes we vote for are supposed to be doing. They should be working together for the people who voted for them, and for the people who didn't as well.

I agree we should work together and across the isle, I don’t have a problem with pols getting along, I thought the Trumppers did, maybe I’m wrong, but I remember how they treated Chris Christy for doing it. But I guess it’s different if you are running against the Trump turd at the time, like Christy was at the time.

I agree. Remember when Gov. Christie got all kinds of shade from the Reichwingers in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, because he made nice with Pres. Obama?

I have no idea what Chris Christi has to do with anything here. You had liberals in California who thought Newsom was too deferential to Trump during the two periods I referenced. This is kind of politics 101. Hardly unique to Newsom or DeSantis

Trump had to play nice because if he didn’t Gavin wasn’t going to accept the money, both times?

And liberals in the state were upset with Gavin because Trump was playing nice with him and begging him to take money?
