I would not base where I live on any of those.
What I WOULD consider is whether I’m going to have to evacuate my home, have it destroyed, experience massive power outages or lack of cell phone access, etc. Every year.
Landfall hurricanes in the US occur a couple to several times a year. In the South and Midwest, tornadoes and other extreme weather kill many people and destroy property EVERY YEAR. Usually, several times a year.
On the news, I observe all of those with the same, redundant stories. Followed by the same, tax-payer funded bailouts.
It’s like the movie “Groundhog Day”.
It’s one’s preference to live where they choose. One takes the risk and should be held accountable for it themselves.[/QUOTE]
So no taxpayer handouts for anyone? Anywhere? You probably aren't a fan of taxpayer handouts for illegals then...or other countries who experience disaster or war....Bad personal choice of residence?
