WASHINGTON (AP) — Conservative activist Virginia “Ginni” Thomas, the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, appeared on Thursday for a voluntary interview with the House panel investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection.

In the days after The Associated Press and other news organizations called the presidential election for Biden, Thomas emailed two lawmakers in Arizona to urge them to choose “a clean slate of Electors” and “stand strong in the face of political and media pressure.” The AP obtained the emails earlier this year under the state’s open records law.

Either she has got massive balls...or she intends to turn this supposed testimony into a farce.

I'd bet on the latter.

What time does it start?

It depends upon how much jail time she's facing.

"Thomas’ attorney, Mark Paoletta, said last week that Thomas had agreed to meet with the panel and is “eager to answer the committee’s questions to clear up any misconceptions about her work relating to the 2020 election.”"

She won't have to, the committee will do that on their own...

The committee has handled itself better, by far, than any other committee hearings I've ever viewed...and I have viewed many in my years.

I suspect your comment reflects less on the committee...than on the fact that it is showing Trump to be such a pile of shit.

I seriously doubt she wants to "clear up" anything. And it is not the "misconceptions" about her work that should worry her. The misconceptions are the ones that clear her. The truth about what she did is what might fry her.

Again, while not a lawyer, strategically, it depends upon how much she has to lose. I'm guessing she'll roll over and tweet like a canary.

I'd love to see that happen, but I would bet against it. My guess is that she is a concrete wall...and thinks she can beat the system. She thinks she is untouchable.

I wonder what she would have to sell in exchange for her "cooperation."

You need to raise your standards...

The committee is 3 parts Kafka, 1 part Stalin...

It depends upon how smart and sane she is. If she rolls on Team Crazy, she gets to remain a free, rich woman married to a Justice. If she stands staunchly by Trump, she risks ending up in prison. Even if only a few months, who wants that at age 65?

She's a lawyer. She knows what side of the bread the butter is on.

The committee frightens you, TA...just as it frightens Trump and the assholes who backed him.

And well it should.

Frightens me? Ha! I've seen it as the joke it is since it began. Riddle me this: Exactly how many people has the committee actually gotten something on? They better hurry because in less than 40 days they're finished. That should be obvious regardless of your politics...
