Not a fan of either Abbott or DeSantis, but they'll keep sending thousands of illegals north until the problem is fixed.

Which is cheaper; maintaining illegals in state for years on end or a bus ticket?

Hint: A bus ticket is about $320. https://www.busbud.com/en/bus-dallas-new-york/r/9vg4mp-dr5reg
[h=1]What a moron, those asylum seekers were not IN FLORIDA, he got them from Texas! LMAO
FLIP FLOP: How Ron DeSantis changed his tune on Venezuelan asylum seekers[/h]The Florida legislature allocated $12 million to transport “unauthorized aliens” out of the state in an appropriations bill passed earlier this year, and Gov. DeSantis has promised to spend every dime. $1.5 million has already been spent. The problem is the Florida fascist has used state funds to fly migrants from another state — desperate asylum-seeking migrants fleeing the very regime the Florida Republican publicly condemned.

Illegals enter our country illegally and then apply for asylum.

Crossing our borders without proper documentation is a violation of our immigration laws.

There is a procedure and a place to apply for asylum and swimming across the Rio Grande and entering illegally to apply for asylum is not the procedure or the law.

Which is the problem for DeSantis compared to Abbott. Loading up illegals and bussing them to Big Blue Sanctuary Cities is one thing. Tricking people legal (even if temporarily) to be in the US and dumping them in another state has some legal issues.

In the end, I think this will hurt DeSantis. He's trying hard to be the RNC nominee for 2024, but may have just blown his own foot off with this stunt.

2024 is far off IMO, anything can happen by then. I hope he loses his Governor position in Florida.

Yes, Earl Turner, there is a procedure in place and DeSantis violated it. LOL

Due to Republican redistricting, DeSantis will win reelection as governor. That doesn't stop him from being recalled should he be indicted.

2024 isn't as far off as some would like to believe, but I agree lots of time for things to happen as this past year alone has proved.

For one thing, there's all the trials of Trump's Traitors. There's all of Trump's crimes in various areas that will be in court and, therefore, the news cycle.

It's one thing if the Republicans did the right thing and condemned Trump's actions, but they aren't. They're embracing those actions with the overwhelming support of Republican voters.

https://maristpoll.marist.edu/polls...ssion-of-government-documents-september-2022/
  • 63% of Republicans, think Trump did nothing wrong.
  • 15% of Republicans and 18% of independents report Trump did something wrong but should not be charged with a crime. Ten percent of Republicans and 46% of independents perceive wrongdoing and think Trump should be charged.
  • 61% of Americans – including 90% of Democrats, 26% of Republicans, and 67% of independents – do not want Trump to run for president in 2024. This jumps to 65% of Americans if he is charged with a crime. 27% want Trump to run for president even if he is charged with a crime, including 61% of Republicans.

Illegals for thee but not for me.

The procedure for legal entry into the US does not involve DeSantis.

The law was written by Congress and does not involve governors...or animal control people.

MAGA folks will vote for conspiracy theory candidates, those who refuse to believe Trump lost the election and just plain uneducated Republicans. Most people do not belong to forums or watch the news on a daily basis and if they watch only Fox News you know they are getting fake news or news that has a bunch of holes in it like Swiss cheese.

I watch Fox just to see the lies they put out. I wish they had a session where people can call in live and talk some sense into them. LOL Hannity is Trump's buddy, so is Tucker and Laura I. 3 Lying Scumbuckets.

And if they say one word against Trump their viewers throw shit fits. They have no clue about Trump, they like Reality TV stars. I've hated Trump when he filed for Bankruptcy in my state for his 3 losing casino's and fought NJ so he didn't have to pay $30 Million dollars in back taxes. His attorney in those days said Trump will pay $5 million and Chris Christie who is Trump's friend and was the Gov. of NJ at the time allowed Trump to get away with out paying the full amount of $30 million and thatscrewed the tax payers in NJ. Ever since that day I hated Trumps guts! He's nothing more than a Con Artist.

Hopefully DeSantis loses the election and gets in alot of trouble for what he did to those migrants and taking them from Texas, they were not in Florida.

He won't lose the election but he could face charges for his actions; both state and Federal.

Redistricting allowed the Republicans to be a minority but still have a lock on all state and federal elections. That's how the Alt-Right rolls; right into the Fourth Reich. LOL

We will just have to wait and see what happens in Nov. Republicans are very dishonest people and stupid people too.
