Joe Biden ally Nancy Pelosi has once again intervened in a Brexit row despite hopes of a resolution between the UK and EU. The Speaker of the US House of Representatives flew to Ireland to hold talks on the Northern Ireland Protocol.

Maroš Šefčovič is a Slovak diplomat and politician serving as European Commission Vice-President for Inter-institutional Relations since 2019 and is handling the negotiations which have nothing to do with P Lousy. He hinted at a compromise last week, so Pelosi should just bugger off.

'Mind your own business!' Truss urged to 'stand up' to Biden and Pelosi over Brexit row

The US political heavyweights have regularly weighed in on the heated Brexit row between the UK and European Union.

Liz Truss has been urged to "stand up" to Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi over their continued interventions on Brexit by warning them to "mind their own business". On Tuesday, Prime Minister Liz Truss hinted a trade deal between the UK and US could be several years away, warning she isn't expecting talks to start "in the short to medium term". Mr Biden met Ms Truss for the first time at the UN General Assembly in New York. The White House had said he would tell her she must work with the European Union to find a negotiated outcome to solve post-Brexit tensions over the Protocol.


The US President, vocally proud of his Irish heritage, has raised concerns on several concerns about the impact of Brexit and the Northern Ireland Protocol on the peace process in the British territory.

Ms Pelosi, Speaker of the US House of Representatives, has continued to warn the UK against taking unilateral action to resolve the row with Brussels.

But Nile Gardiner, a foreign policy expert and former aide to Margaret Thatcher, has launched a furious attack against what he has described as "interventions" from Mr Biden and Ms Pelosi.


But he warned Truss not to make any concessions to the US over any future trade deal and that "he cannot be allowed to get away" with "pushing Britain around".

Mr Gardiner added: "Biden is behaving like a playground bully over the Protocol matter and Truss needs to stand up to him.

"There is nothing to be gained from concessions to bullies. The only message bullies understand is strength and resolve.

"Biden thinks he can push Britain around but he cannot be allowed to get away with it. Truss has to strongly defend British national interest and tell Biden to respect Britain and its position over the Protocol."
He has urged Prime Minister Ms Truss to "stand up" to both of them and to warn the US political heavyweights to "mind their own business" on Brexit.
