In the end, my guess would be that this kind of grandstanding and disregard for other human beings will be yet another negative for Republicans in the mid-terms. Should have been a slam dunk for the GOP, but Roe, this, still embracing Trump....they're doing the classic "pull defeat from the jaws of victory" thing.
What happened to "compassionate conservatism"? I really doubt that independent voters will go for all of this dog-eat-dog stuff & the cold alternative that today's Republicans are offering.

Even though it helps Democrats, I still don't want to see people treated poorly just so that one side or another wins elections.

They were supposed to stay in Mexico. The US only allows a certain number of people to apply for amnesty the rest are supposed to wait in Mexico for their turn to apply. They did not follow the law.
