Politicians lie all the time. If it was up to me, I'd hold them accountable. The fact DeSantis lied to them for transport could cause him legal problems...but it doesn't change the underlying problem.

Illegal aliens from all over the world strive to get to New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Look at your own link, New York has more illegal aliens than Florida does, and California has more than Texas. Illinois has quite a few. There are already millions of illegal aliens in the North.

I support transporting all Texas illegals to those sanctuary cities....bus is cheaper.

DeSantis is a liar. My best advice is not to vote for him.

FWIW, I won't be voting for Abbott either, but I do support this action.

I could understand if DeSantis said Florida was being overwhelmed, and had to move people to somewhere that had more resources to help them. But he specifically did not get these people from Florida, and specifically did not help these people to get to somewhere they could be helped. If he wanted them to be helped, he would have warned local services they were coming.

Abbot is having busses drive past reception centers where Chicago services can help the asylum seekers, and instead dump the asylum seekers on random roads. It is a huge drain on Chicago services to try to find these asylum seekers that Abbot has specifically scattered.
