Chicago setup reception centers to help out the asylum seekers. All the Republicans had to do was drop off the asylum seekers at those reception centers, and the asylum seekers could have gotten the help they needed. Instead, Republicans dropped them off at random places on the street, shouting at them in Spanish to scatter.

Why don't we take an elderly family member of yours, transport her to a random city without food and water for two days, and then tell her to run around... Add in that many of the asylum seekers did not speak English, and you have an idea of how they are hurting people.

Thankfully it is not happening in Winter, because dump people out on the streets of Chicago in the Winter, and some of them will definitely die.

I didn't. I was wondering how they got from the border processing center to the San Antonio airport. It's a 2.5 hour drive from Larado and a 7.7 hour drive from El Paso.

Again, why does this matter when the key factor is no one in DC is offering a solution? They're all just bitching about it and doing nothing like they've done since Reagan.

I would say making jokes about hurting people is beneath you, but obviously I would be wrong.

I could understand if DeSantis said Florida was being overwhelmed, and had to move people to somewhere that had more resources to help them. But he specifically did not get these people from Florida, and specifically did not help these people to get to somewhere they could be helped. If he wanted them to be helped, he would have warned local services they were coming.

Abbot is having busses drive past reception centers where Chicago services can help the asylum seekers, and instead dump the asylum seekers on random roads. It is a huge drain on Chicago services to try to find these asylum seekers that Abbot has specifically scattered.
