So what? It's a fetus. We have tons of bacteria, living organisms, in our bodies right now and those organisms also feel things...so is it cruel to an infection to take an antibiotic?

The policies of the left where government works in hand with companies to provide stuff is far more fascism than the folks who want to limit federal overreach.

The reality is, you aren't going to get me to vote for feels, rather than rationally choosing policies I agree with, by calling someone a racist or pretending that voting for policy you disagree with makes me a racist. I don't self hate, I just don't agree with the policies of the idiots for which you vote.

If you don't believe that aborting a fully formed fetus with it's nervous system able to experience pain is cruel, then I really don't have any reason to discuss this.

It's not about the rights of the fetus, as many would argue.

It's cruel, and there are ways to obtain a safe abortion way before 4 months.

You don't know the reason why that person is choosing to get an abortion then, and you will NEVER KNOW THAT REASON unless they tell you.

Y'all are just gonna have to be satisfied with not knowing every detail of every woman's health care.

Which they should have to do if they're literally killing a fully formed human. At that point, they had plenty of time to make a decision.

I'm fully supportive of legal abortion. I'm not fully in favor of acts of cruelty.

If a medical condition suddenly arises at 8 months, then that is not the same as someone arbitrarily deciding to abort an 8 month fetus. That's cruel, and should be illegal.

You do not know the reason why that fetus is getting aborted, and I still don't understand why anyone needs to know so bad.

It sounds to me like some folks don't trust women with their own bodies.

Again, you don't know the reason why someone would get a late term abortion, so instead of trying to invent a person to use as a straw man, maybe accept the fact that women know their bodies and place your trust in that.

Because it doesn't sound to me like you trust women, based on this thread.

Pregnancy is wildly unpredictable, and no pregnancy is the same...they are all unique because they are unique to the pregnant person, and pregnancies can even differ for the same person.

Taking away a valid, legitimate, safe, and regulated medical procedure from pregnant women over morals and feelings and not science is pretty fuckin' fascist.

Just sayin.

Firstly, you're not a human until you're born.

Secondly, you don't know what circumstances may arise in the final weeks of a pregnancy that could require an abortion, so taking away one of the most valuable health care tools for pregnant women over your personal moral feelings ignores the actual science.

Thirdly, when talking about the science, you do not discuss it in agnostic terms, it's all done within the context of your moral fiber and perception of what an "acceptable" abortion is. Can you imagine being a woman with a complicated pregnancy and then being told at the last moment that you're going to suffer because some person you don't know thinks the fetus you're carrying is entitled to rights that you aren't???

That's not being a good ally to women.
